We loved the location in Cannaregio. The property was a 12-minute walk from the main train station, with only two bridges to carry luggage over. There was plenty of room for four adults. Having the canal to overlook from the balcony was entertaining, watching people enjoy rides on the gondolas. We stayed in July, the only downside was having mosquitoes inside the apartment because of opening the windows due to the heat.

Amazing location and host
Everything was completely as expected and Roberto was very communicative to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. The setting on the canal was so unique and we will always remember this visit. We were traveling with my children and my parents and the courtyard gave us plenty of room to all. Have our own space. Thank you so much - I would recommend to anyone.

Convenient and Charming
It’s a great space. Just steps from the public water taxi and steps from a fantastic grocery store in a different direction. The courtyard area was lovely, the host attentive to our needs. It was a little cramped for 5 people but we made do. I’d definitely stay here again.

Our own slice of Venetian heaven
What a joy to stay in Cannaregio at the Levantine! A beautiful property with authentic touches. Fantastic amenities and peaceful location. Quick access by traghetto from Santa Lucia Train station and no stairs in the property - yay! It would be a dream to return to this magical city and great property.

Venetian gem- canal views & courtyard
This unit was our favorite out of a multi city Italy visit.
Roberto and his wife met us personally to go over the unit and answer any questions. It was our anniversary and they left us something in the fridge acknowledging it.
The unit was immaculately clean and tastefully appointed. The beds were the most comfortable of all the units on our multi city trip. They provided a pack n play crib for our toddler and it had a plush padded mattress which he loved. They also left out some diapers for us which was sweet. Pantry and kitchenware was as expected and they had some coffee/sugar/ oil etc which is always helpful. They had some games and puzzles available which really helped with the kids. Also books and guides about Venice. In the unit was a full binder with restaurant suggestions, water taxi breakdown, and different cards/brochures for recommended activities. They really thought of everything.
The living room has a patio door that opens right onto a gated view of the canal. We have small kids and felt perfectly safe having this open while we were in the room with them. The kids LOVED watching gondolas and boats go by on occasion.
Outside there is a spacious and private courtyard which was incredible. A fruiting citrus tree by the front door and hanging greenery on the entry. Two seating areas, our favorite being the table by yet another canal view blocked by a locked iron door. At night you could hear the canal lapping up against the walls and it was so peaceful. The outdoor area is well lit.
We really liked staying in Cannareggio. St. Mark's square and other points of interest are accessible on foot. With small kids we walked over & took the water bus (Vaporetto) back. For Vaporetto, we had access to a Guglie stop which goes to the islands, airport and the vaporetto lines that ring the city perimeter. 5 minute walk. Even closer was the San Marcuola stop which takes you down the Grand Canal. We used this stop (3 minute walk) to private water taxi back to the airport. Very convenient options available.
Everything we wanted to see was accessible but felt removed from the throngs of tourists we experienced close to St. Mark's square.
Unit is down a quiet street which is right off a main street. It's far enough down we never heard any noise. Multiple grocery and dining options nearby. DHL express right nearby too to ship souvenirs etc back.
We definitely recommend this unit for a Venitian vacation and would 100% stay here again
The apartment was clean and well-appointed, with lots of space for our family of 4. The beds were comfortable.
The location was fantastic, within easy walking distance to the train station, and all the attractions of Venice.
The host, Roberto, was very responsive to all inquiries, and he kindly met us at the water bus to take us to the apartment, and helped carry our luggage. He also gave us an excellent restaurant recommendation - it was one of the best meals we had in Italy!
I highly recommend staying at this apartment!

A lovely home among the canals
Our stay with Roberto was so much more than we had hoped for when booking this apartment. The space was immaculately clean, larger than it looked in the pictures, and thoroughly enjoyable.
The courtyard area alone is spectacular! It is long and winding along the edge of the property, reminding me of the canals and alleyways that make Venice so unique. The living room has a large glass double door that opens directly onto the canal (with bars from the waist down for safety) which is such a special feature and made us feel truly a part of Venice.
We were a party of five, two parents, two teens, and one tween. The tween slept on the generously sized sofa bed and the two teens shared the second bedroom. The second bedroom is small, but for Venice, you can’t do much better! The bathroom is a nice size and very clean.
I can not recommend this property enough. Roberto had lots of helpful information about the city available and was willing to help in any way he could. Thank you for a wonderful visit!♥️

Venice Dream
The Host Roberto and his daughter were wonderful hosts, meeting us at the Garage to guide us to the wonderful apartment. Our appartment was situated next to a side canal with a lovely inner courtyard area. The inside was tastefully decorated, well organized and clean. The kitchen had all the necessary basics, including wonderful coffee. The air conditioning was a plus for the time we were there. One couldn't want for more, the apartment was perfect for a family of 4 and easy to get to but not in the busy noisy area. It was also nice to look onto the canal and see the occasional boat float gandola go by.

Short break in venice
We stayed here for three nights at end of July. Location was really good close to restaurants and easy walking distance of f everywhere. Easy to find in Venice. Apartment was really good and everything was provided. Only criticism would be the shower was low pressure and air conditioning was only in living room which was not a problem for us but could be in a very hot spell. We would come again if in Venice, mainly due to good location.

Great place
We are staying at VRBOs through Italy and so far this one was best. Everything works -air-conditioner - which in summer you MUST have, tv, plugs. They provide little extras like usb chargers, toiletries and coffee. It’s also very spacious. The only down side is that it’s right on the main walk from the bus and train station so crowded and touristy. But there is a small boat dock right in back of the building that takes one stop to the other more quaint neighborhood. Buy a multi day pass and you can come and go as you like.

So much space!
Wonderful experience. The pictures do not do this justice. What a beautiful apartment. Roberto was out of town, so Anna met us at the train station when we arrived and walked us to the apartment. She gave us all of the info on what restaurants to go to, and we wanted to add a beach day into our visit, so we asked her several questions for a day over WhatsApp, and she was super helpful. The courtyard is amazing. We used the outdoor area, and candles for dinner. Plenty of space inside with great bedrooms, and large living rooms. Well stocked kitchen. Location worked out well with a grocery store very close and San Marco Square probably about 15 minute walk or less depending on how heavy the foot traffic is. I would highly recommend.

Charming apartment in convenient but peaceful location
The apartment is spacious and well equipped inside and out, making for a very comfortable stay. We particularly enjoyed eating our breakfast on the terrace and watching small boats passing on the side canal.
The hosts were nice to deal with and very responsive, and gave excellent recommendations for local bars and restaurants.

Our Venetian home away from home!
This was our third stay at this lovely and very well-appointed apartment. Roberto has thought of everything and made La Levantina the perfect place to experience Venice. We were met at the Guglie stop, after getting off the Alilaguna airport transport, by Anna. She walked us to the apartment and gave us some great restaurant recommendations. We slept so well each night in the comfortable bed and we absolutely loved listening to and watching the boats go by.
My best advice to anyone fortunate enough to spend time in this magical place is to get off the beaten path. We found fantastic restaurants each night just by turning down a side street (Osteria Giorgione, Laguna Libre, Ristorante L'Opera, Vecia Cavana. Osteria Al Mariner - are just a few). We went back to see the Interpreti Veneziani at the Chiesa San Vidal - words can not describe how amazing these musicians are. Just go! Buy some Torta Veneziana al pistacchio from Bar Pasticceria Pitteri Giovanni - soooo good! Side trips to Murano, Burano and Torchello are well worth the time.
All these experiences and foods are made even better by being able to come back to the warm and cozy La Levantina. Thank you Roberto for sharing your amazing city and apartment with us. We can't wait to come back!

Perfect place to start our first visit to Italy
Took my family of five on our first trip to Italy, which began in Venice at La Levantina. Talk about a great first impression. The property is exactly as advertised. With the sofabed, we were able to accommodate our three older teenage sons. The secure, private courtyard was a welcome bonus. One of the highlights of our entire trip was an impromptu dinner in the La Levantina courtyard, adjacent to an iconic Venetian canal. The area around the property was wonderful with many shops and restaurants and it was not terribly crowded. Simply felt like we were part of a neighborhood rather than a bustling tourist area.
Roberto could not have been a nicer host. From my very first email inquiry, he communicated promptly and clearly and provided detailed instructions for check in/out as well as valuable recommendations for getting to the property. I had mapped out the route ahead of time based upon using the vaporetto from Marco Polo airport. I was pleasantly surprised to find a text message from Roberto's assistant, Allegra, upon our arrival at the airport letting us know that she would meet us at the waterbus stop to escort us to the property. Didn't have to worry about getting lost and a pleasant conversation as we walked to the property. By the way, it is only about a 5 minute walk from the Guglie stop to La Levantina.
My only regret is that we did not have enough time to stay longer to explore and enjoy the area further. Regardless how long you stay, you will find La Levantina a wonderful place to start your day of exploring Venice and a comfortable and picturesque place to enjoy your stay upon your return.

Amazing place, right along a canal!
This is a great VRBO! Starting right from the moment we stepped off of the train, Rudi was there to meet us (even though our train was 24 min late at 9:00pm) and guide us through the streets to the apartment. The suite has a private courtyard with a locked gate and a wonderful view out to the canal. The suite is well appointed with all anyone would need. Located on a quiet Calle but close to Vaporetto stop, restaurants, Casino and shopping. Roberto and Rudi are easy to contact and their utmost concern is that you enjoy your stay.

great space, perfect location
Just returned from my second stay in this apartment in the past few years. It is surprisingly large for such a central location in Venice. My first visit was with a group of four adults, this trip was two adults and three children. Love the location and appreciate how helpful Rudi was in getting us settled and oriented to the city. Thanks for making our visit to Venice such a success.

A beautiful and cozy apartment in a magical city
This was our second stay in La Levantina and it was just as wonderful, if not more, than the first. We were met by Rudi who again gave us an orientation to the apartment. He gave us great suggestions to enhance our visit and then walked us out to the new grocery shop. He let us know that he is always accessible for any needs. The apartment is in a perfect location, just steps from the nearest vaporetto stop and a short walk to the train station. The apartment has everything you need to make you feel at home and has been appointed in a very thoughtful and elegant way. There are fantastic pastry and coffee shops and wonderful restaurants (La Columbina and 40 Ladroni) right there. If you have a chance, find your way to Chiesa San Vidal to listen to the Interpreti Veneziani; what an amazing group of musicians! Thank you Roberto and Rudi for making us feel at home in your magical city at this most wonderful time of the year. We are already talking about our next visit!

Beautifully appointed apartment in Venice
This is a quiet retreat and well thought out apartment in busy Venice. There is a private courtyard where you can enjoy your coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. You can even watch the gondolas go by. It has two comfortable bedrooms, a big living area and a well stocked kitchen. Rudi met us at the apartment and gave us a nice introduction as well as a small tour of the surrounding area. He gave us great restaurant recommendations. Everything you need is just steps away. I would definitely love to stay here again.

Absolutely Perfect!
Arriving in Venice at night is magical. Roberto and Rudi, our gracious hosts, have transformed this apartment into a luxurious, family friendly, flat with everything you could possibly need for a stay in Venice. Air conditioning that works incredibly well, fridge, stove top, laundry, two double bedrooms PLUS a pull out double couch that is more comfortable and easy to use than any couch we've ever slept on. The apartment is open and spacious with cool marble floors throughout. The living room doors open to a canal that gondolas travel down. The courtyard is private and spacious with a beautiful picnic table near the canal. All of the windows have shutters to block out the morning sun; not that you'd want to sleep in with so much to see. There were more than enough towels for the five of us, plenty of dishes and pans for cooking. Roberto and Rudi provided information on the best pizza shops, grocers, and bridges to everywhere. We could not have picked a better spot to stay! Absolutely Perfect!
