Lovely hotel with a beautiful garden

The Biscolo is a lovely old hotel the room we stayed in was a fairy tale ( junior suite). Even though the hotel is away from the maddening crowd in Venice the hotel ran a free shuttle service to St Marks square and return throughout the day. The staff were friendly and could communicate inEnglish well. The garden was very special. They had tame rabbits nibbling the lawn and interacting in a quiet and shy way with guests which was a nice touch. The restaraunt is the only thing I found did not live up to the mark I ordered from the extensive vegetarian/ vegan menu all dishes were quite ordinary lacking in flavour and the chef has a fascination with olive oil and pistachio nuts which was served over every dish. I would stay again just order the vegetarian food in the non vegan menu.
