In Normandy, in Calvados, in the small village of Escures-sur-Favières, on the edge of Pays d'Auge and the plain of Caen, just a unique experience in this historical house of the eighteenth century haven of peace.
Built at the foot of an ancient Roman camp, LA VILLA Escuris was the Manoir du Gentilhomme Malherbe. It is now restored in a spirit of authenticity and modernity.
For a weekend of relaxation, a week of discovery or long holiday full of activities, Escuris LA VILLA welcomes you between sea and countryside. It opens the doors of its four bright rooms with separate bathrooms, its comfortable lounges and its kitchen for gourmet chefs. Its huge terrace, gardens and meadows invite you to breathe the Normandy countryside lungs.

Wonderful stay in Vendeuvre!

Great all round experience renting La Villa Escuris. Philippe was very helpful with advice and recommendations before we arrived, then Patricia was waiting for us on arrival to show us round. The actual villa - superb! Spacious, grand, quirky and full of character. We had an excellent one week stay. The villa had all you needed to cook meals for eight and we also dined out locally a couple of times. Our bedroom was excellent with large windows looking out on fields where horses were grazing. Everyone appreciated the en suites with each bedroom.

Excellent rental home!

Our party of 8 travelers enjoyed our stay at this home. Philippe is a great host, and the property is lovely. We enjoyed the spacious rooms and modern amenities. We hired a private chef to prepare our dinners, and he found the kitchen fine for his needs, and he was able to access the property while we were gone with no issues. We loved our time at La Villa Escuris and recommend this without hesitation.

A countryside escape

La Villa Escuris is a charming property located in a beautiful countryside setting with plenty of outdoor space for children to play and explore. The house mixes touches of old school grandeur with cosy comfort and it is a real treat to be able to stay there. The owner, Philippe, was extremely courteous and helpful throughout our one week visit. In summary we enjoyed a wonderful stay and will certainly hope to return.

Lovely new year at the manor. Everything you need even shampoo and soap in each bathroom!

Manor is a fabulous fusion of old and new. Plenty of space for us all to chill out in peaceful surroundings. Rooms were large and airy with the best showers I’ve experienced at a rental property. Well stocked with every type of glass and crockery to hold the most sophisticated dinner party. But had a really family home feel. Shops are a short 7 minute drive with some restaurants. With only 3hours and 3ins from Calais it’s perfect for a get away stay not too far to travel.

Spacious and quiet

Six of us had a most enjoyable stay at La Villa Escuris. Philippe was very helpful and accommodating, offering suggestions and recommendations. The house was well located for day trips to the coast. We found it lacking for nothing other than closet space. We would highly recommend it for the peace and quiet of the French countryside.

Parfait

Merveilleux séjour dans un écrin de verdure au milieu de chevaux et dans un calme absolu. Le manoir ancien est très confortable avec une enfilade de salons au rez-de-chaussée et de très belles chambres au premier étage avec chacune une salle de bain. La Villa Escuris nous a beaucoup plu et nous y retournerons avec grand plaisir. Juillet 2019 Ursula
