Sweaty

We stayed durung some hot and humid summer days. Window can only be opened a tiny bit, no airconditioning and small room. Very sweaty experience. There is also a lot of noise from the highway but this would only be an issue in the summer with open window. Big carpark and good breakfast. Very friendly frontdesk.

Breakfast was awesome! Supper meal average. Room good but placed on first floor. As single traveler did not feel safe to open window. Room very hot even with oscillating fan on high. Beds good. Shower terrific. Parking good.

Good EV stopover hotel

The hotel is a bit dated and probably needs some major renovation soon. However overall, our stay was pleasant and in our expectations with Scandic. The room was clean, though smelled a bit dusty. Bathroom is spacious with a really good shower. The beds were pretty comfortable. So we were to refresh ourselves before we had to continue our journey the next day. Unfortunately too early to have breakfast. Instead we had breakfast box waiting for us at checkout. While the location of the hotel is not that convenient in order to explore Uppsala, it is great when passing through with an EV as there are plenty of 11kW Mer electrical car chargers in front of the hotel.

Convenient hotel that requires refurbishment

We stayed in order to catch an early morning ferry. As such, it was great that we could charge our electric car overnight. Also, there has been no issue with the ordered breakfast boxes (we had to leave before breakfast was served). All food intolerances were catered for. The room itself was small and properly cleaned. In addition it was very hot and stuffy. The hotel has no AC in the rooms, thus the only way to cool the room was to open the window. And here things became less ideal. The room was on the ground floor, but the hotel did not offer to open the large window. The small one could be opened, but the mechanism to locked it an semi-open position (to prevent someone from entering from the outside) was broken. In effect we didn't want to keep that window open while asleep. The bed itself was comfortable. Overall the room was functional, one could even hang up clothes. But various items were either damaged (for example the bin in the bathroom) or showed severe signs of wear and tear. We would strongly suggest to refurbish these rooms or at least notice broken stuff and have it replaced. The bathroom was clean and the shower had good pressure. In terms of functionality nothing to complain here.

Väldigt, väldigt enkelt hotell. 60-talsstandard och passar till fotbollslaget som ska på träningsläger. Inte för någon trevlig hotellvistelse. Personalen han heller inte riktigt med vid frukosten. Bra scrambled eggs dock.

Trevlig personal och fin frukost men ganska nergånget ställe. Korridoren till trappan till mitt rum luktade starkt av mögel, och väl på övervåningen var temperaturen minst 5 grader varmare än på nedervåningen, rummet var kvavt och dåligt ventilerat. För det höga priset väntar man sig något bättre skick.

Das Frühstück war vielfältig und ausgiebig, sodass Jeder was findet. Es gibt auch für Laktose-Intolerante Altenativen. Ich war mehr als zufrieden. Die Sauna hingegen war für mich enttäuschend, wobei das auch an kulturell unterschiedlichen Erwartungen liegen kann. Die (Nackt-)Sauna ist unisex und die Kabine selbst sehr klein. Es gibt keinen gesonderten Umzieh-Bereich, sondern nur einen Raum mit Tisch und Sesseln und Haken, wo man die Kleider aufhängen kann. Jedoch ohne Privatsphäre und erst recht nicht nach Geschlechter getrennt. Die zur Verfügung stehenden Badetücher lassen sich zwar (knapp) rundherum wickeln, sind aber so kurz, dass frau sich nicht "bedeckt“ hinsetzen kann. Ich kenne es, dass Saunas nackt (oder mit Tuch um den Intimbereich) besucht werden. Jedoch war mir das als Frau, in Kombination mit der engen Sauna (und dem darin sitzenden, Feierabend-Bier trinkenden männlichen Hotelgast) zuviel Nähe / Intimität. So, wie die Sauna-Räumlichkeit ist, sollte es meins Erachtens 2 separate Bereiche geben nach Geschlecht getrennt. Oder die Tage abwechselnd für m/w reserviert sein.

Inte värt priset, kände oss inte välkomna,2000 för en natt och inget kaffe eller vatten på rummet och när jag frågade efter kaffe,som enligt hemsidan ska finnas i allmänna utrymmen,blev jag hänvisad till att resturangen var öppen. Kaffet i lobbyn stod skylt kostar 29 kr och man behöver fråga efter mugg för att inte kunna ta. Toapapper inte påfyllt,handukar inte framlagt till oss båda,toaletten extremt låg så man kunde tro var till barn. Blandaren trasig i dusch så risk bränna sig . Nonchalant personal i resturangen,fick vänta länge,ingen dryckeslista,ingen fråga om dessert önskades,ingen artig ton. Maten ok men inte wow. En äldre personal var dock trevlig. Sängen var lagom hård,och det var tyst , parkering utanför,det var väl det som var bra

Bra läge om man ska till IFU eller de andra idrottsanläggningar runtomkring. Rent, trevligt, väldigt bra frukost. Hotellet var fullbokat av olika lag (fotboll, tennis, schack) men trots det var de väldigt bra organiserade både vid frukost och middag.

Väldigt trevlig personal vid incheckningen och i restaurangen. Däremot väldigt tråkigt bemötande när vi hade satt oss i ett sällskapsrum för att umgås och ta ett glas vin, vin som vi själva hade med oss och jag vet att man inte får förtära egen ”mat/dryck” där MEN vi var 7 personer som hade ätit och druckit i restaurangen precis innan och dessutom köpt chips/godis i repan. Det bemötandet som vi fick av personalen där var inte trevligt, faktiskt riktigt otrevligt.
