Love a good deal? We do, too! That’s why we search daily for great deals on flights with United Airlines, bringing them to you on Wotif. Many United flights feature seatback entertainment systems or the ability to stream through your device using United Private Screening, available through the United app. WiFi may be available for purchase, so you can check the news, update social media or play games on your personal device. A selection of snacks and drinks may also be available.
Most tickets with United include 1 free carry-on item and 1 personal item, subject to size and weight restrictions. There are exceptions for some types of tickets, including basic economy, and for partner airlines, so it's best to check ahead. Larger baggage or additional items can be checked, subject to fees and limits.
Check in for your United flight online using the Wotif page or app. Navigate to the My Trips page for your flight itinerary, online check-in and to obtain your boarding pass. Online check-in can be accessed 24 hours before your flight’s departure time.
Many Wotif bookings are eligible to earn airline rewards points. Please check with your airline to verify whether your booking qualifies.
If you need to change or cancel your flight, first review United Airlines' rules and restrictions on your Wotif itinerary page. You’ll find information on what options are available to you, as well as potential fees for flight changes or cancellations. Some tickets may be non-refundable or eligible only for a refund as an airline credit to be used at a later date. For questions or to cancel your flight, please contact us.
Yes, most United flights will have free movies and TV on board. United knows you need your entertainment, and they’re happy to make you happy. What’s included will depend on your aircraft, but you’ll more than likely have either a seatback entertainment system or the ability to stream through your personal device using United Private Screening, available through the United app.
Most United passengers will not be charged to bring one personal item and one overhead bag. The only passengers who will be charged for a carry-on bag are those who have purchased Basic Economy tickets for a non-trans-Atlantic flight. Your overhead item can be a maximum of 9 inches by 14 inches by 22 inches, so you may need to leave some shoes at home. Check with customer support for further baggage information.
United Economy Plus is a ticket class available for purchase. It includes more leg room and a seat at the front of the plane for a comfortable trip and easy disembarking. You’ll also typically get to board before the rest of the economy class passengers. If you really want to cut the line, purchase Priority Boarding in addition to your Economy Plus seat. You’ll then board in Group 2 instead of Group 3.
United offers excellent Wi-Fi coverage, but it’s not free. You’ll typically pay a fee to connect to the internet once on board; however, you can sometimes use your miles to purchase Wi-Fi, which is a nice perk. United is a top pick if you just can’t be without internet: all two-cabin regional and main aircraft have it available, except for those travelling to Guam.
United has flights to more than 350 airports throughout the world—you can pretty much get anywhere on this airline. From Australia, United flies out of Melbourne and Sydney, to many popular U.S. destinations like Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, and Las Vegas. Shop ’til you drop in the City That Never Sleeps or get glitzy in Vegas. If you want to explore the U.S., United is your go-to.
