Excellent breakfast. Friendly efficient staff. Clean room. Good gym / spa facilities - clean. Overall, the hotel is looking a little tired, but a refurb is due in 2026, but good value for money. My wife and I would stay again.

No staff also on the Saturday night on the bar note to say to go down to the bar down stairs there were 3 staff down there. Overall will not return till hotel until it has been upgraded very disappointed with this stay also emailed about spa treatments but on arrival there was none available and staff never replied.

We were given executive rooms, large, clean and very comfortable, one with a 4 poster bed. Large bathrooms with jacuzzi baths, great after a days walking. Comfortable beds and room was a good temperature. Pool, steam, sauna and gym were good facilities. Breakfast and bar food offered a good selection. Staff were welcoming, friendly and added to the stay. Would recommend and stay again.

4/5 – Great stay for families, relaxing and scenic We had a lovely few days at Whitewater Hotel. The location is beautiful — right by the river, with peaceful surroundings and easy access to the Lake District attractions. Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, perfect for a family break. The breakfast buffet had a good variety and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The leisure facilities (pool, jacuzzi, gym) were a great bonus — especially after long walks around Windermere. 👍 What we liked: Great location by the river and close to Lake Windermere Friendly and attentive staff Spacious family rooms Nice spa and leisure facilities 👎 What could be better: Some parts of the hotel (corridors and bathrooms) feel a bit dated Restaurant prices slightly on the higher side The pool water was quite cold, which made it less enjoyable for kids Overall, a very pleasant stay — we’d happily return again for a relaxing weekend with the family.

Staff very nice, room very good size, lovely views out of the windows, negatives very dated decor, no plug sockets near beds , shower took forever to heat up, eggs other than scrambled would have been a good option, but on the whole very nice.

The picturesque views from outside is brilliant and breth taking . The Hotel looks great from outside with it's stone walls etc but is need of an update inside . The rooms are big but some cupboard doors need fixing and the shower leaked. It was clean with a impressive menu but the food isn't good . Breakfast was cold and the toaster didn't work most of the time. You do need to look for a clean plate ,bowl or cups . If you ask for a tea tell them to only put one tea bag in it as it's strong . If you stay on the first floor you will be woken up at 7 am by the kitchen radio or kept awake at night with the restaurant music coming though the floor . The spa is great . The staff are brilliant and look after you. The pool is ok but the changing rooms are small . The gym was impressive and you can get a cuppa from the reception. The Hotel is well placed as there's a steam engine , boats on lake and a motor museum right next to it . There is a pub called the Angler's arms within 2 mins car or 10 mins walk which has brilliant home cooked food with a good cask ale selection. The team is great as well. . All in all it's a great base to stay and wonder around the lakes .

The hotel is in a great location and very picturesque. The staff were very friendly. The buffet beakfast could have been a bit better although okay in general. The whole place is very dated though and could do with brightening up as it has a lot of dark funishings and needs a lot of TLC. Our room was clean but again the furnishings where very dated with handles missing and scratched. The matress on the bed had a stain on it and it was and old matress with metal springs so crunched when you moved. The changing rooms in the spa was very small with little room and again very dated and could be a lot better. Overall not a disaster stay but for the price i paid i would'nt return again.

Spacious, comfortable room situated close to an event we were attending (5-10 minute drive). Room well equipped - brewing facilities are always a big bonus! Breakfast buffet was well stocked and had a good choice of items - some more visible guidance near the toaster would be helpful for those unfamiliar with the make and how it works. The only stressful aspect of the stay was lack of parking space letter on the Saturday evening - unsure where we were allowed to 'overflow' to. Overall pleasant stay, suited our needs and would return again

Needs a bit of TLC both in decor and attitude!!

This place gave us the impression of being a bit run down and lacking in care and a bit stingy with extras ( I packet of biscuits in the room, I loo roll, broken toaster in breakfast room, no menu to say you could have extras like poached eggs, no condiments on tables at breakfast , bar tables not cleaned or lights on the the eating area and crumbs on the chairs! )We ate in the bar twice and both times the food was fine but you really shouldn’t have to clean your own table and chairs, turn on lights etc should you?!?! I used the pool which was nice and nicely accessible for me however the changing room floor was treacherous as it was soaking wet. There needs to be more awareness that this isn’t a place that’s suitable for people with mobility issues. Both the restaurant and the bar had steps to access them. We thought initially the receptionist wasn’t very welcoming as we stood for quite a while waiting to check in while she was talking to staff members and she gave no acknowledgment that we were waiting, not a great first impression. The room and corridors seemed dated and dark and our room had an odd smell however it was clean ( apart from stains on the carpet) and comfortable.
