We enjoyed our stay there. We used the pool and hot tub and also had a wonderful breakfast. We were able to upgrade the breakfast for a small charge. The waitress was very helpful in giving us ideas as to where to visit while we were there. Very nice all around.

Before I start, let me say, the staff was incredible. Very nice and helpfult. The location and view are amazing! However, this property is run down, old and musky smelling. The furniture is stained and looks to not have been changed or replaced since the 1970's. There are stains on the carpet and walls, broken baseboards broken lounge chairs and lumpy old extra soft mattresses that feel like a cheap worn out dorm room bed. Discoloration all over the worn out carpet and an overall moldy musky smell throughout the property. The property is Motel quality. I booked based on the 9.0 rating on Expedia, which usually is very accurate. This time it was a total miss.

Please do not let the exterior facing the road impact how you feel about this cute little gem of a hotel and restaurant. It’s dated, like a mid seventies/early eighties time capsule with a nautical theme. The staff is nice and despite it looking its age, there was definitely a lot of well maintained parts. The restaurant was good, waitresses and other wait staff were great. The rooms are massive also, much bigger than any I’ve stayed in before that were not suites. Additionally, the place holds events and weddings and I can see why. It is beautiful views all the way around looking right out onto Lake Michigan. It was a great first night in Wisconsin.

The Lighthouse Inn is a very charming place in a Hallmark kind of town. The view from our room was breathtaking from watching the gulls and pelicans on the water to listening to the waves hit the shoreline.

My stay at this property was disappointing, mainly because the widely available images online do not match the actual condition of the rooms. The bathroom did not have an exhaust fan, which made it uncomfortable to use. The staff members were polite and helpful, but when I reported that the charging port in my room was not working, the maintenance person never showed up to fix it. The property also needs better cleanliness, especially around the outdoor swing area, which was not well maintained. Overall, the experience did not justify the amount of money spent, and the hotel fell short of the expectations set by its online presentation. Regarding the restaurant, the food quality was good, and the senior staff members were very hospitable and attentive. However, the younger crew members were not very helpful when it came to allocating seats, which created unnecessary inconvenience. Additionally, the dinner service was extremely slow, taking almost an hour for the food to be served. Overall, the experience did not justify the amount spent, and the property fell short of the expectations set by its online presentation.

The breakfast was top notch. They prepared a fresh meal not the usual scrambled eggs or waffles. It is not the most modern hotel but I would stay here again. It was also nice to have an on site restaurant and bar.

The Hotel is right on the Lake Michigan shore.
The pelicans are fun to watch from the beach, the restaurant or the room.

We especially enjoyed the breakfast available whereby patrons were provided with a voucher worth $7.50 per guest at their lovely restaurant, which offered a creative menu as well as a beautiful, sweeping views overlooking Lake Michigan. The room itself was large, beds were comfortable and staff were friendly upon check in. Great experience!

We enjoyed our overnight at the Inn especially the complementary breakfast. The cranberry oatmeal is delicious. Loved all the white pelicans in the lake. Great views. Regretting not having suits along for the pool and hot tub. We plan to return for a longer stay

Best place we stayed (of 4 places) during our entire vacation! If the star ratings went up to 10, this would be a 9.9 (because there's always a little wiggle room for improvement, right?) Room was spacious and super clean, beds were very comfy, and we were SOOOO excited to be able to open the window a few inches and fall asleep to the amazing lullaby of the waves of Lake Michigan crashing on the shore -- nothing better!! We had dinner at the inn's restaurant, nightcap at the bar, and breakfast again the next morning before we left. Staff were all extremely professional, helpful, and friendly. Our only regret was that we were only able to stay one night, but we will definitely be back when we can stay longer!!

Had a great room overlooking the lake. You can walk the private beach. Out our window we could watch 30+ pelicans floating and fishing. Comfy bed, had a very good dinner. Our server was terrific, and very good breakfast. Definitely will come back.
