Come relax and enjoy all Tahoe Donner has to offer in this cozy home with beautiful wood accents.
This cozy, simple home has warm wood accents throughout. It's great location is close to ski areas, hiking trails, Donner Lake and all Tahoe Donner Amenities. The living room has a gas woodburner, perfect for those cooler days and evenings after a full day of adventures! The kitchen is warm and welcoming and ready for your group to prepare meals. Two bedrooms have Queen size beds,and the Master Suite has a large en suite bathroom, also with Queen bed. To complete your experience, the deck offers plenty of seating and a gas grill for family barbecues.

Your stay includes six guest passes, each allowing access for one guest to enjoy Tahoe Donner's private amenities including pools, hot tubs, fitness center, golf, tennis, beach access at Donner Lake, and more. A daily entry fee applies, and children 2 and under are free. Please note that private amenities are available approximately 332 days per year, with holiday blackout dates in place to prioritize member access. STR guests always have access to public amenities. Amenity Update: Beginning September 2, all pools and hot tubs at Trout Creek Rec Center will close for renovations, reopening mid-December. The sauna, steam room, gym, and fitness classes will remain open. The Northwoods Clubhouse Pool will remain open until October 10.

Nice summer stay

Cabin was clean, comfortable and cozy. Kitchen was small and would have benefitted from upgraded kitchenware. Bedroom and beds were very comfortable. The high ceilings made the cabin more spacious. Patio was a nice environment to gather. Driveway is on a major street without much outdoor room to play. Checkin is too late at 5:00 pm and we called and could not be changed. Checkout is at 10:00 am and too early. Advertised location needs to be corrected. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

lovely cabin

This cabin was the perfect size for our family with teens. It was very clean and well appointed. We had a few questions about what amenities the guest passes were good for, and the rental agency was very prompt in responding to me. We'd love to stay here again.

Truckee Visit

It's been several years since we've been to Lake Tahoe and had heard the town of Truckee is a great place to stay. Bingo....Truckee was such a cool little town, the people, restaurants, and vibe were perfect. The house is in a great location, super clean, comfortable, and relaxing. We will be back next year and we will stay here again...loved it!

Nice house, poor management, lots of extra fees/taxes

The house itself was very nice. Parking was easy with a garage and driveway parking. The house was clean. The kitchen had what was needed to cook meals. The price listed seemed reasonable until I went through the booking process and all the taxes and fees were added, then it was almost 3xs the price listed on the site. I went with it anyway because we were suppose to have access to all the amenities listed, pool, Rec center, private beach on the lake. We didn’t get to use any of those. There are passes needed to buy the other passes to get into the amenities and the first passes were not left at the place. I inquired when I couldn’t find them but didn’t get a call back. Finally, hours later I received a text via VRBO messaging that the passes would be dropped off. By the time we got them, it was too late, the day was over. We were only there for a weekend so Saturday was the only full day we had to use the amenities.

Nice Mountain Cottage

This is a comfortable cabin and the stay met our expectations. Renters should be aware it is located on a busy street and would not be well suited for young children. All the amenities mentioned on the site require payment of a daily guest fee. Also, this cabin is managed by a local property manager and there are additional rules and stipulations that you will not see until you move forward with booking.

Deceiving listing

The property inside was as listed. Unfortunately, the location of the property was inaccurately portrayed on the listing map and noi disclosed in the listing itself. The property is located right on Northwoods Boulevard, the busiest street in Tahoe Donner. Traffic is heavy and vehicles travel well in excess of the listed speed limit. One has to back up onto the road with speeding cars and reduced vision because of a hill which creates an extremely dangerous condition. In addition, there is very little set back from the road and the road has no shoulder in this area. All in all, a very dangerous area for walking, for pets or for children. At the very least, these conditions should have been disclosed and not hidden. On the other hand, the property management company could not have been more professional and understanding. Notwithstanding a busy tourist season, Tahoe Truckee Vacation Properties found us a great alternative property immediately and we are most grateful for their help. I should note that we have rented VRBO properties for years and have never written comments.
