I booked two rooms at 5pm and my booking was accepted. When we arrived at 7 we were told our room would not be ready for 2 hours. I’m not sure why I was able to book the rooms when they had not been cleaned and wouldn’t be ready for at least 2 hours. They offered a communal shower room but still not good enough. As booking had already taken our money we were stuck. They offered changing facilities. Rooms should be available from 3pm as advertised . Otherwise the hotel is dated as are the rooms. The pool areas well maintained.

Nice Hotel, expensive food & drink.

Hotel is beautiful with lovely pools. The food and drink is fairly expensive with restaurants 2 minutes walk with prices at least half. The "town" is quiet and small and everything (bars and restaurants close at about 10PM (and the hotel bar at 11pm). The staff are all friendly and there is live music maybe 3 or 4 times a week. The bed was rock hard but this was resolved by the addition of a softer over-mattress.There are sports available in the hotel (table tennis, badminton, boule and pool. The one big disappointment was the snorkelling. There are almost no fish insdie the reef which is quite a way off shore and you need to visit on a glass bottom boat. The reef is not what I would expect for the Indian Ocean.
