The hotel is very close to train station. It is good if you arrive late by train, leaving early on the next train. But dinner option is very limited

Im learning to hate this chain. No heat. Some kind of hvac that only blew cold air and couldnt be turned off. Window wouldnt shut properly either. No one to ask about it. Bare bones staff. 8 tv chanels. 2 are chinese. Light in bath on motion detector. Really great when you go on in in the middle of night. And it wont shut off for far too long. Water seemed yellow color. One light. Not over bed. Drunks caroused until 5am on saturday and then guy next door started pounding on the wall at 6am. Lots of am noise on monday. A shame. Could be alright if they fixed these things.

The courtyard within the restaurant/bar area was a pleasant surprise. In the evenings the bar was very atmospheric and inviting. The room is of good size, provided with wide windows, the breakfast was one of the best, if not the best we came across in 3 weeks journey across Scandinavia. The location on the same block of Linnaeus house was the reason we chose this hotel in the first place, but it didn't disappoint in any respect. Might become our hotel of choice if we are lucky enough to go back to Uppsala.
