A great location to explore Tromso from!

Very clean, great location and a lovely room. Upgraded to the superior room which I think gave us a room on a higher floor with a great view of the mountains… but I’m not 100% sure. Dinner was lovely in the hotel restaurant. Staff were always busy with customers but were super friendly and helpful when serving. The location of the hotel was ideal as it’s in the centre of town and most of the buses operate from within a 5 minute walk

Nothing particularly wrong with the hotel, it’s just fairly average. We arrived at just before 1400 and we were told there wasn’t a room and we had to come back at 1500 when check in starts. That’s fine, but I always wonder how all the rooms magically become available at 1500, and we weren’t told to have a drink in the lobby and enjoy the hotel. We got room 208 - a junior suite on the first floor - I think that’s called the Expedia punishment even though booking direct was way more expensive - and every time someone flushed the toilet above you, you would hear the water (and whatever else) rushing down… Breakfast was pretty good though. Bed was comfy and the room was warm.

Nice room in tromso.

The edge was nice, staff were helpful, breakfast was good, nice view from the window. Lovely views from the rooftop bar. I did think the bathroom was too cramped, and the beds and pillows a bit soft for my liking. Overall a very pleasant stay.

It’s a nice hotel with the lovely Sky Bar. I booked a standard room which was comfortable and very clean, but seemed fairly basic for the price (but then Norway is expensive). The breakfast is superb - probably the best breakfast buffet I’ve ever seen, with good vegan selection. The Sky Bar wasn’t open every night which was a shame and seemed a bit odd.

Fantastic location, right next to the ferry terminal and local fjord cruise boats. 7/11 nearby, bars, restaurants and shops all within easy a few minute walk. We upgraded to a deluxe bedroom, which is much more spacious than the std or compact room. Only negative was not much storage in the room for clothes; we used our suitcases for storage.
