The distance from the central train station is reported as .09 of one mile. That's true if you are a crow, but I don't fly. The true walking distance is about a mile. And its location just removes you a mile further from the areas important to tourists. I don't know if it's the hotel's fault or that of Hotel.com. All of that said, it's a perfectly comfortable and clean place to stay.

Very nice rooms and staff. Not much in the area of the hotel, but a 10 min walk to the downtown.

The property was nice enough, but you must keep in mind that it is a budget-friendly option so some things are lacking. There is no one at the front desk after 10pm. The doors are locked and you can use your code to open them so it is secure, but if you need anything or have questions you have to wait until the next day. Also, our soap dispensers were all empty and then we had to replace them ourselves, but the staff did give us the bottles. You only get room service once per stay. We stated which day we would like room service, but it never happened. We were able to grab fresh towels though. There is a grocery store and Domino's Pizza within walking distance, but no mini fridge or microwave in the room so keep that in mind.

Reception was closed upon arrival; apparently a change of schedule that wasn't posted on their website nor communicated to customers. The self -service check in kiosk in the lobby didn't work. At the posted emergency phone number, nobody answered. So wasn't able to check in and had to scramble for a different hotel.

Disappointed

First, the hotel is directly opposite the station, however there is a rather long walk as the tracks cannot be crossed. Most disappointing was that we decided to cut our stay short. We approached staff at the desk who said it would be no problem, but that we needed to go through hotels.com Having done that, the reply came back several days later to say that the hotel had denied the request! Extremely disappointing.

The room was clean but for 3 people it was ultra small and a tight squeeze. The area around seemed more industrial and we did not feel safe staying out late. The staff were very helpful in arranging for a taxi as we had an early train to catch
