We stayed in the Walloon Suite and unfortunately our room was not in great condition. Several lights didn’t work at all. Know that several of the rooms do NOT have a window in them. The staff was great, friendly and accommodating but they were booked so we couldn’t switch rooms. I spend a lot of time in Traverse throughout year and keep a list of places I have stayed for future reference. Unfortunately Cherry Tree will no longer be an option. While it’s great to have a friendly staff, it’s just a very run down place now.

Had a lovely time, would stay here again. Complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate 24/7. Hot breakfast every morning. Nice large pool with a roomy hot tub. Even a little arcade room with some pinball machines. I felt like the room itself felt larger than other hotels I have stayed in. We came in late November, so didnt use the beach amenities, but a lovely stay to rest for a few days.

Nice clean and spacious room and great views over the bay. Breakfast was good - scrambled egg + sausage + the usual waffle maker plus good selection of cereal, muffins etc. Pleasant staff. Our ground floor room had a door opening directly onto rear lawn and beach - very handy (but would be nice if you could lock this from the outside as well as from within). Would visit again.

I was surprised that we weren't offered a bay view in your off season simply to inspire us to come back. The room we were in was nice, but it was not on the bay. The view was not good, and we were next to the elevator. Lots of road noise as well. Your breakfast server was a bright spot in our stay. She was very thoughtful and always busy. Staff very helpful especially Laura who served breakfast and Erin at the front desk. Room had a couple stains on the floor and lamp electric outlets were cracked.

Two Days in TC at Cherry Tree

Amazing staff every where. Comfy Beds. Beautiful setting. However, stains on carpet, rust on shower bar. Barking dogs until 11:15 and starting again at 6:45. It was like they were in our room as we had a connecting door. Do not put dogs in these types of rooms. We love animals, but this was stressful.
