When we arrived shortly before 3PM staff said check in time is 3 PM and our room was not yet ready. They proceeded to check us in anyway and told us we could enter the uncleaned room. We chose not to do so. We walked around the property for two hours until finally calling to find out if our room is ready and it was not. Ended up going to the front desk talking to the front desk manager and he was able to get us in a room after 20 more minutes. By then it was so late we had to postpone our dinner reservation. It was crazy busy at the restaurants. An extremely unpleasant experience although the property itself is pretty.

Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge offers breathtaking views of Denali and the surrounding Alaskan wilderness. The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, enhancing the overall experience. We especially enjoyed the variety of dining options available on-site, which made our stay both comfortable and memorable.

Beautiful spot catering mostly to bus tours from Princess Cruise line but it was clean and comfortable and fine for what we need as outpost for accessing both Talkeetna and Denali park.

We showed up an hour and a half after we were able to check in and our room was not ready as well as hundreds of other guests rooms. They could not tell us when the rooms would be ready.
