If you're struggling to find anywhere to stay right in the heart of Toyosato-cho, don't stress. Look outside the city center and stay within 10 kilometres at any of the 5 terrific options recommended by Wotif.

Some of the best places to stay close to the main action are the Hotel Route-Inn Hikone and Comfort Hotel Hikone.

Consistent with what I’ve come to expect from this reliable chain. A simple Japanese business hotel — compact rooms, clean, and efficiently run with friendly service. Laundry facilities were handy and worked well. The town itself is small and quiet, but I had no trouble finding a decent place for dinner on a Sunday night just a short walk away. Breakfast was limited but perfectly fine for what it is. A solid, dependable stay.
