I had high hopes for our stay here prior to our son’s wedding in St Jacobs. It was a good location for that. The door wouldn’t open upon arrival. The photos were not at all representative of what you get in regards to furnishings. None of the bedrooms have bedside lamps. There are also no lamps in living room. The only lighting in the living room is the overhead potlights, of which there are many. They are not dimmable so it’s either lit up like a runway or dark. There were no bath mats, hand towels, kitchen towels or wash cloths provided. These items are what I’d consider essential. Paper towels were provided in bathrooms for drying hands I guess. Such a waste. The air fryer was dirty. The coffee maker had mold in it. Better attention to detail by cleaners is necessary, hair in shower etc. The host did mention they typically host groups for bachelorette parties. Perhaps we’re too picky. We do have high standards which could have easily been met had we had what was shown in the listing photos. The lovely walk in closet in the primary bedroom was locked leaving us no where to hang our clothes. No dresser in that room either. It was extremely inconvenient staying for 4 nights and not having anywhere to store our clothes. Their claim that the closet is being “renovated” and therefore unavailable was odd considering it looks great in listing photos. We didn’t use the pool or swim spa but the pool was very clean.
