Two beautiful cottages with an outdoor pool, tastefully refurbished but retaining many original features, all set in several acres of parkland and woodland within the quite rural Hamlet of St Josse. Each cottage sleeps 8 or 10 in 4 ensuite bedrooms, large living/dining room with Gallery, log fire and fully equipped kitchen. Reffy stay

Just had a week at Reffy cottages in St Josse near Tortefontaine. Beautiful location and the owners were lovely. Stayed with three small children and the large garden and pool were perfect for entertainment. We had meals outside under the well placed gazebo and large tables both inside and out were great for family dining. My granddaughter was very intrigued with Mike’s (owner) technique of climbing in to the pool to clean it. Pool was inside a secured area with plenty of seats on the deck and a small summer house to store kiddie inflatables. Each room has its own en-suite shower/bath so no queuing. One of the showers blocked during the week and Donna (owner) was there promptly to sort out. Enjoyed a peaceful and fun week

Great house for an extended family gathering with lots of outdoor space for children to play

The house is perfect for a group of 4 children and 6 adults as each bedroom has its own en-suite so no fighting over getting into the bathroom. The owners were really helpful and even moved one of the mattresses into another bedroom so that all four cousins could share. Whilst the weather has been varied (sun, rain and even a bit of snow over the long weekend!) the house has given us plenty to do - we’ve done Easter Egg hunts (both indoors and outdoors), been to the beach at Le Touquet and walked the castle walls at Montreuil. We’ve played board games in the evenings with the fire lit and the children have had lots of space for their toys and games too. We would definitely recommend this house to a group which spans three generations and it’s a great location for our family get together this year!

Characterful & Spacious

The ten sleeper cottage deep in the north french countryside is fabulous! All the usual modern conveniences in a well presented accommodation. An en-suite off every room is a plus in a large capacity cottage - which at one time must have been a lovely old barn. The fire place and vaulted ceiling over the lounge-dinning area with exposed wooden beams, made our stay even more magical. The hosts are great!

Loved our stay at Donna & Mike’s, we will definitely be back!!

Mike and Donna were so prompt in their responses during the enquiry and booking stage. We can’t thank them enough for their generosity and flexibility about check- in, it made such a difference to our holiday experience because of the time we were travelling. This is a great location for some quiet, reflective space, open fire is handy for cold days, short drive from Calais so ideal for a weekend getaway! In the winter months, I would say go easy on the radiators because electricity is dear and Mike and Donna are honest about this at check- in. You can easily buy fire wood from them which is convenient. An Ideal place for a large family or families traveling together, all bedrooms are ensuite and there is private access to a swimming pool. Although Mike and Donna live on site, you hardly see them, they are not in your way. Mary (Kent, England)

Pas entretenu avant notre arrivée les propriétaires privilégies les anglais pour leurs locations de plus il y faisait très humide et froid on a du chauffer tout le séjour les propriétaires auraient dû regarder à ces deux points hygiène et froid domage ce gîte pourrait être vraiment bien Josette Lefebvre

it was nice to stay at donna's place, the house is spacious enough, there is some space in the garden which is perfect for a group, we enjoyed staying there and would surely go back someday :) easy communication with donna and her husband who are very nice people easy to talk to and very quick to respond via email :)
