An overall amazing experience. The apartment was spotless, well furnished, very comfortable, and the most amazing views of Toronto. The staff were also fantastic; very responsive and helpful. We had a wonderful stay.

Don't Stay There

Upon checking in we heard the toilet running. We opened the tank and tried to stop it, but to no avail. Then a beeping started. We couldn't figure out where it was coming from so contacted Rivet and was told to check the dryer. Someone had left towels in there and didn't shut it off. When we opened the door to the laundry, the detergent fell off the dryer and there was no lid on it, so detergent went all over the floor. Neither of these were a good way to start our stay. The toilet never got fixed which lead to the toilet not flushing at all. Our unit looked nice, but was not maintained and definitely not move in ready.

The unit was absolutely terrible. Broken light fixtures, no working outlets, exposed wires, broken mirror, caked dirt in all corners if the rooms. Light switches didn't work to turn on main bedroom lights and since the power outlets didn't work you couldn't use the lamps that were provided. Housekeeping didn't finish the last persons laundry and stuffed about 6 loads into the dryer, which didn't dry, leaving us with no towels. Toilet paper holder ripped off the wall. The dust was thick on the metal headboard and had visible fingerprints from past guests. The kitchen stove and hood range had thick layers of dust that left is not wanting to touch anything. Although they did offer a complimentary cleaning, the stress and frustration far exceeded the solution. Stay here at your own risk!

Location is great, a few minutes walk to union train station, CN tower, great views of downtown and the skyscrapers. However the fallback is the quality of the apartment and service from the host. When we called the concierge phone number, no one ever answers the phone at all. There is no telephone support! Terrible! On our Expedia reservation it was written the address 12 York. That is where we picked up the key. But the key did not work there. Later the host wrote us to go to another address 14 York. The key worked then. This was not clear and was stressful for us! Also, our room did not look like the photo on our confirmation order from Expedia. We ordered a premiere room , but this does not feel or look like a premiere room, the quality and lack of upkeep and cleanliness and many other issues is unacceptable. - Out of order Fridge & Freezer - Missing blinds on the curtains - Someone left wash in the washing machine - There was no dishwasher detergent - No hooks to hang towels - Microwave numbers worn off - Bathroom vent dirty & black - Water kettle dirty & disgusting - Oven is dirty & not clean - Pillows for sleeping were flat as a pancake and cheap. This was a bad experience overall for the money we paid for our stay. The apartment is used and not maintained. We asked for a fair partial refund, but they only offered a refund of the cleaning fee. And that has nothing to do with the rest of the problems and short comings.

Location great. Manager very helpful. Sheets and towels we were to use in the dryer. Food smeared on the light switches. Cockroaches in the unit. False fire alarms at 5:30am (2) days in a row.

We loved the view! It was a perfect walking distance to where we wanted to go. Two bed and sofa bed and there was also a second bathroom which was convenient for our stay.

Great location, but everything else was a letdown We stayed for two nights and while the location was undeniably convenient—right downtown with a view of the CN Tower from our room—the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired. Entry into the building was easy, and the room had a cute, compact layout that suited our basic needs. There were plenty of outlets for electronics, which was a nice touch. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. Only one of the three elevators serving our floor was working, which meant long waits and overcrowded rides—people packed in like sardines. But the worst part was the fire alarms. The first night, it went off around 4 a.m. with a voice over the intercom instructing us to stay put until the fire department arrived. That was unsettling, but manageable. Then it happened again an hour later. The second night was even worse—three separate fire alarm incidents, this time with no explanation, just loud, endless dinging. Whether it was pranksters or a system issue, it made sleeping nearly impossible. The condition of the unit was also disappointing. It felt more like a cheap motel than a downtown rental. Everything was dated and poorly maintained. No hooks in the bathroom meant wet towels had to hang from doorknobs. Pillows were thin and worn, sheets were pulled, and while the kitchen area looked clean, the floors were so dirty I had to wear socks inside. The window shades didn’t fully block out the exterior lights.
