No communication from the host regarding check-in. Booking was automatically accepted. There are no check-in instructions on the listing page, and after calling and texting the host, I got no response. Messaged them in the VRBO app as well, no response. Fortunately we were able to get into the residence because the lockbox containing the key was improperly closed.No television in the residence, the beds were INCREDIBLY firm, and the children's bed frames were broke in the middle, so if you sat on the edge, the bed would sag to the ground. On our second night, at approximately midnight, the host attended the residence. Through difficult communication, I gathered that the host was very confused why we were in the residence, and kept asking if I was someone ELSE who, I gathered, had booked the place and was unable to get in (since I had the key). I was able to show her the booking on VRBO, and when she pulled up VRBO, my messages were sitting in her inbox unread. The host apologized and left. The situation took approximately 10 minutes to sort out. Had I not gotten into the lockbox at the beginning, I don't have faith I would've had any communication with the host.Pros: - Very central location- Nearby grocery store and fast food- Large enough for our group (3)- Clean- AC/Heat is available for control-Newer applicancesCons:- No television- Firm and uncomfortable beds (the children's bed frames are broken)- Lacking in communicationRATING: 2/5
