Newly refurbished the interiors are of a modern and comfortable standard. The lodge comprises of a spacious open plan living area with comfortable lounges, large TV screen, and an inviting wood burning stove. Wonderful views are featured from the comforts in your living room through the large windows. On chilly evenings cosy up and stretch out in front of the wood burner with a good book and a glass of your favourite tipple.
One of the many highlights of Scallopshell is the spacious rooms and views. The Master bedroom offers wonderful window views over the loch bay. Both spacious and light, this is a perfect haven for a restful retreat away from it all. There are also a twin bedroom and a single bedroom. The shared family bathroom features a shower over the bath, wash basin and toilet.
Views of the loch, changing tides and abundance of sea birds are just some of the highlights in this special place.
The lodge is ideally situated 50 metres from the beach front, with direct access it is idyllic for a lazy day’s beachcombing and long walks. The sunsets you will experience are heavenly. Within walking distance (0.8 mile) the well-known Oystercatcher restaurant in Otter Ferry is located on the waterfront offering first class food and award-winning ales brewed locally in the nearby Fyne Ales Brewery at the top of Loch Fyne. Bookings advised.
A wonderful base to explore the boundless historical and scenic attractions that are on offer in this beautiful region, to the many leisure pursuits including walking, hiking, cycling, fishing and sailing, there is something for all. Explore further afield to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, the Isle of Bute, and historic Inveraray, it's also an easy day trip to Oban, one of the seafood capitals of Scotland.
