Great bachelorette weekend
Property was beautiful, in fact I would argue that the pictures don’t do it justice for how it looks in person. Plenty of parking. Had some issues with the mudroom fridge leaking priory to arrival and the wine fridge was not cold, but we made do with the main fridge for the time we were there. All bedrooms very spacious, nobody gets a bad room!!!! Main concern was temperature regulation, upstairs was boiling hot while basement was freezing cold but with a huge place like that that’s to be expected!

Great home…but needs some updates
We just got home from spending 4 days here (there were 12 of us). I’ll start with the pros: Awesome house for a large group! Everyone pretty much had their own quarters. Never felt like you were tripping over anyone. The games were awesome: pool table, poker table, shuffleboard (we loved this one!), foosball, air hockey etc. Large kitchen with an island made for making meals really easy and having two fridges was a lifesaver! The double sided fireplace was nice for sure and at the end of the day it was nice to get into bed with crisp, clean linens. The location was seriously the best! We put our ski boots on at the house and walked to the valley express chair lift (this saved on the stress of trying to find parking!). Parking at the house was perfect. Lots of room for our 5 cars. Some of the cons: this house needs an overhaul as it’s showing its age and neglect for sure. A deep, thorough cleaning and a paint job would be a start. Also, the dishwasher is disgusting…again, a good clean might just be the answer. We had troubles with all of the outlets in the kitchen tripping. Maintenance was really great at responding though and finally just showed my husband how to reset the breaker so we could fix it ourselves. The cute coffee area would’ve been nice, but the plug there never did work. The hot tub is small for the size of the house and the ski cloak room is awesome, but there isn’t one hook to hang even one jacket. Overall we enjoyed our stay though.
The house was perfect for everyone. There were enough activities already setup in the house to keep all age groups entertained.

Blue Mountain Chalet
Overall it was ok. The difficulty were the front steps to get into the house. They were very steep. For the most part it was a quiet neighborhood with the exception of one dog that barked through the night.
Although we didn’t have any children staying with us, it would be a great house for families with kids.

Overall positive experience with some caveats
Overall we enjoyed our stay at this cottage, I have included a breakdown below of some Pros/Cons:
Pros
- The proximity to village is as good as it gets outside of staying directly there
- Inside and outside the space was fantastic. Lots of large common space, large bedrooms, great sized yard for any activities you want.
- Comfortable beds, clean sheets, clean towels. Slept 15 people comfortably
- Basement had a lots of activities (pool, poker, foosball, air hockey, shuffleboard, basketball etc)
- Kitchen was massive, great for cooking meals especially with the big island
Cons
- Not really a con of the cottage, but more blue mountain has strict rules about things like noise and hot tub usage. Had security talk with us a couple of times in some early hours of the evening, but they were always calm and polite.
- Kitchen, was could have been better equipped to properly clean after meals. The dishwasher had to be run multiple times to clean most items so we resorted to paper plates and plastic forks. We were given a very old gross looking sponge for pots and pans and safe to say that did not work well. For our large group was a bit frustrating.
- Showers, some of them had some black mold on walls and curtains could probably use replacement/a better scrubbing
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would likely stay again

Bachelorette party
A bachelorette party with 15 girls stayed here very comfortably. It’s walking distance to the village. The common areas are open and spacious which was comfortable for a large crowed. The kitchen is large and we’ll stocked with appliances and utensils needed to cook for a large group. The bedding is comfortable. The games room is a fun touch! Really liked the feel of privacy in the back yard. Lots of natural light. Only downfall is the late check in and early 10am check out. Would love to stay again.

Cleaning fee should be reduced
The place was large and accommodated all of our family. However, it was not clean. We pulled beer cans out of the couches and from underneath the beds. I have neverxseen so many junk drawers. Dishwasher did not clean the dishes as the filter was full of food. The fames room closet had mouse poison in it. I get mice get in byt this is were our kids spent there time so having poison around was not ideal.

Blue mountain family reunion
The house was exactly as advertised. It was spacious with lots of washrooms, privacy, a main floor bedroom and tons of games and activities to do in the house given the poor weather conditions. Proximity to the village was second to none and the property managers were excellent. The house and furniture is extremely dated with the sink faucet being broke, the fridge leaking water non stop, the kitchen table has nails sticking out that tore an expensive pair of pants. The house requires some serious attention. That being said you can’t beat the location and the size of house to accommodate a large group. The mgt team was excellent.

Great place but beware of earwigs
The location and amenities were excellent during my stay. Although the AC was not working in all areas of the upstairs floor, the landlord provided a $300 compensation that we believe was adequate for the AC issue.
One glaring issue that negatively affected our stay was the earwig infestation in the entire chalet. Although it is understandable and tolerable to see a few insects within any listing, the number of earwigs found in this chalet during our stay was unacceptably high. We found at least 50 earwigs in the entire chalet, with the majority of them found in the basement and upper floors. I have photos and videos proving these statements.
We discovered a number of earwigs in and around the bedsheets, mattresses, towels, walls, ceilings, couches, floors, pool table, bathrooms, showers, etc. Many of the guests, including myself, chose not to sleep on some of the available beds due to the infestation. Some guests who decided to sleep on the beds awoke in the middle of the nights due to the earwigs they found crawling on their legs and bodies as well as in the sheets.
We would like to note that the rest of the property was clean and the amenities were good with an ample supply of sheets and towels. However, in light of the earwig infestation that we experienced, we unfortunately could not completely enjoy our stay.
Another issue I had with this listing is the communication with the host/landlord. Unfortunately, I am cut short due to the character limit on the review.

Family Ski Vacay
We were thrilled with the abundance of space in this beautiful home. WE had lots of room for our family of 11 with three generations, The games room was such a hit with the kids and the spacious environment was a great place for them to play hide and go seek. It was close enough to the hill that even the 5-6 year olds walked over in their ski boots. A quick response to our request for more kitchen linens and answers to any questions we had, We hope to go back another year!

I would recommend
Overall the place was nice. For children awesome back yard and privacy. They can run around and the roads are not busy. Quick walk to to village also the kitchen has everything you need. It’s not very cozy or any personal touch you can tell it’s really for renting out only not luxurious or anything. But I would def rent this place again with them group we stayed there with.
