5 star experience. Booked this accommodation due to the washer and dryer facilities. Disappointed both these were no longer available. Saying that I found our a few days before do I could plan ahead. Still gave top marks as rooms spacious and very clean. Free Breakfast amazing and dinner really good. shuttle bus reliable and convenient. Couple Australia .

After staying in a Holiday Inn in Edinburgh and Newcastle, I had hoped that it would be the same for the convenience of staying at the Holiday Inn Gatwick airport unfortunately first night I get there go to have a shower. There’s no hot water. Let the taps run for five minutes and then go and talk to the staff they go and say oh it was just the boiler it needed to be reset and I’m going well. I’m sure you don’t have a boiler for each room. I couldn’t be the only one that was experiencing a problem. So I told them that that was unacceptable I wanted another room well they didn’t have another room with a king bed they said, but they did find me one and so I moved to the second floor room number 227 and I get in there and it’s been an arduouscouple of weeks from hell between cruises not working out and managing family issues. Breakfast was excellent- glad I opted to adding it to my booking. Great location. Super convenient if you are on a 12 hours layover… the hop on shuttle was easy and very affordable and it gets you to and from the hotel and airport very easy and it’s only 10 minutes away. Overall a great experience.

What I liked, there is nothing that comes to mind. What did I dislike, I had no hot water for a shower when arrived, the refrigerator in the room was inoperative, there was hair on the sheets the I went to get into bed and there is a large stain on the carpet near the bathroom door. Overall the room badly needed a refresh.

Great stopover before flight.

Great hotel and very reasonably priced considering its location. I asked for a quiet room on a high floor and that’s exactly what I got! Hotel is quite new and very clean with a good bar and outdoor area for a nice drink in the sunshine. Breakfast was delicious, fresh and hot and the restaurant clean and tidy with the very latest coffee and toast machines. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Checkout time is midday which is fantastic if you have an afternoon flight. Can’t fault it, definitely recommended for the price.

Air conditioning wouldn’t stay on so had to get up 3 times in night to switch on again - set to 20 as was boiling out (33) but just kept stopping. So crappy sleep and the place was dirty - looked like a cup of coffee had been spilled down the back of the bed and just left on bed frame and carpet. Gross.
