The bed was comfortable, which makes such a change from 5 weeks of rock hard beds! The shower was powerful. The room was big. The public areas in the hotel were spacious and comfortable. The restaurant was nice and the service good. The reception staff were lovely, all eager to practice their English. Only negative was no WiFi in the rooms only in the lobby. A tired, but nice hotel.

The breakfast was excellent, proper traditional Thai dishes with amazing quality and taste. Coffee was amazing where it’s hard to find in Thai hotels. Super affordable where we have no idea how they make money from how little they charged. Allowed us to checkin really early, helpful staff, cleaned rooms and we booked 3 from the presidential suite to standards rooms. All was amazing for the price.

Central and classy with friendly staff.

The doorman was most helpfull. Language was a bit of a barrier at reception. We had the kindest, most friendly waitress in the Resstaurant. Evening meals were very tasty and acompanied by beautifull piano and vocals. The pool was super clean. The room was quite spacious and we were happy with what we recieved. Good value for money.

Not great

The decor and cleanliness wasn't great. The staff where friendly enough but the bed was old and hard and kinda itchy.....worrying?! Everything we left out got covered in ants and we where on the 6th floor!? The pool was clean and a good size and depth. The restaurant however was awful - my partner has a food allergy that we couldn't get across even with it written in the correct language. She had to send the meal back three times and it resulted in her walking out. Really unimpressed....one of the worst stays we had unfortunately.

Friendly and caring staffs.Massage spa was good.Can arrange driver and boatman for private tour (Mr Adul was polite and trustworthy, boatman was also good).Breakfast buffet was adequate and nasi ulam was unique for me.Good central location on Tapi river.Overall a good stay.Thank you for good hospitality.Could improve further if hotel could provide safe and iron in the room.

Great riverside terrace

Very nice hotel with a long history and a comforting feeling that the personnel are a big happy family who are happy to work there. I stayed for 4 nights in a very nice room and enjoyed the local cuisine on several occasions.

at Hotel.com stay breakfast for 2 persons at the price I paid, regardless whether I mention 1 person in booking but when I was there, I ask for 2nd person breakfast, they said cannot. Please do not put breakfast for 2 persons at the higher price.

I have stayed before rooms are clean plenty of hot water air con 10/10 they just need to spruce up the bathrooms. Staff fantastic live music fantastic. I would stay again loads to do in the area.

The hotel is fine but a little outdated. It seems like the luxury was there 20 years ago. However, the pool and the gym areas are nice. Wifi was good, too. And the service is 4* for sure.

Some ups but mainly downs

We had a short 3 night stay and found the staff very helpful, the breakfast was better than expected and the massage service in the spa excellent. However, that is where it ends as the first room we had was clear very run down with many mould, water stain marks in the ceilings and other areas. The second room had been repainted and looked much better and wasn’t bad other than the shower door that kept jamming and coming apart and we seemed to get bites on our bodies each night so we suspect bed bugs. Overall, it is a very worn down hotel still trying to portray itself as up to date and a premium hotel for Surat Thani but the issues we had and next to useless WIFI that needed a new password and user name daily just shows it has gone beyond its expiry date.

Good hotel. Ideal stop gap

We stayed here whilst on our way to Koh samui. All the hotel staff were professional and friendly. the room was large with all the facilities we needed (hot water, a fridge, tv etc) They are in the process of building a new lift, so a bit of noise in daylight hours but nothing off putting. We also had a car, and their car park is massive so no problems at all. Breakfast was geared towards a Chinese buffet but eggs were available.

The room was very poor

I didn't think much of the surrounding area. Perhaps this just not a good area to stay (Surat Thani). It was a stop gap in between Bangkok and Koh Samui, but I thought it would be worth to check out the area. I saw very expensive cars in the car park which made me think this must be the best Hotel in the area. However, the state of the room was awful. There was a dreadful smell, the furniture was cracked and stained. Cracks in the bathroom meant we had a nice visit from a cockroach. The Restaurant was ok, at least the food was not too bad but a little bit strange.The tables were dirty, the Service was poor due to the dreadful English. I guess it was quite cheap, so can't complain too much. But I wish we would have paid more to stay an extra night in Bangkok or Koh Samui.
