Hotels & Accommodation near Terlingua Ghost Town

We stayed here for 3 nights to go on our yearly hiking trip. Big Bend Station was nice, it was quiet and simple. The parking lot was ok too, no bad incidents to report, it was all very peaceful. For the most part, it was just ok, nothing special. There were positive and negative situations.. The bad is that our TV had no volume the 3 nights we were there. The AC made a really strange sound, as if the fan was malfunctioning. For the 3 nights, there were flies in our room. Not sure how or why, but they were just there. We would kill these annoying insects, and the following day, they would appear again, really weird. Also, there was a small coffee pot, but no coffee to make, just a bunch of packs of sugar. Now the goood: the mini fridge and microwave worked very good. The beds were nice and very comfortable. The bathroom was clean. and it looked remodeled. Overall, it was a decent stay since we just used this motel as basecamp being that we were all day hiking at Big Bend National. They serve breakfaste for about $15 , and it's ok, plain eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits, oatmeal, french toast etc. just enough to get you going. There are really not many budget friendly options in Terlingua, so this motel was ok for the money we paid. We will probably stay here again next year. It's 50/50 but, I still recommend it for what it is, and its proximity to Big Bend National Park.

Great stay, can’t be happier with our experience. Checking in was exactly how the host instructed, property was clean, quiet and well maintained. Local coffee spot up the driveway was excellent and great taco shop was recommended by host as well. Will visit again 10/10

Unique property with thick adobe walls. Separate bathroom from shower located steps from the room. Beautiful views of sunset and sunrise. The restaurant Espresso y Mas is also excellent.
