Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, listing accuracy
We booked this accommodation for a 3 night weekend getaway to celebrate a birthday and we travelled over 4 hours and upon arrival there was no communication from the host and we were unable to get in contact with host to receive the code for entry to the cottage. After numerous attempts at trying to contact the host we had to a book a hotel room for the first night so that we actually had somewhere to stay. The following morning we once again tried to contact the host to no avail and also contacted Stayz and after being on hold with the 3rd party company Belvilla for over 2 hours with them trying to contact the host in which they were unsuccessful we requested a full refund. We then had to book another hotel for the next 2 nights. We are still waiting on the refund and still no communication from the host and it has been over 3 weeks. Very disappointing and it put a downer on the birthday celebration as not only did we have the added expense of having to book hotel rooms which is not what we had planned but the lost time wasted in trying to get a hold of host and arranging alternative accommodation. I do not recommend booking this property as it has been a terrible experience with absolutely no communication from the host.
