Spacious Luxury Apartment in Tavira Garden With Very Extensive Private Terraces

Tavira Garden is unique. It is generally considered to be the most prestigious complex in the unspoilt Eastern Algarve and is composed of individually designed apartments and villas, set around spacious, mature, beautifully landscaped gardens. The complex has two large pools, two adjoining children’s pools, tennis court, gym, children’s playground and picnic area with brick barbecue. There is a restaurant and bar, with additional outside dining facilities and a poolside bar (open in the high season). Wifi is available (for free) in the apartment as well as in Reception. There is ample parking, and the reception/office is open Monday – Friday (English spoken). The complex is close to the historic town of Tavira, with its cobbled streets and numerous restaurants and cafes, many of which overlook the River Gilao. Golf courses, beaches and the nature reserve of the Rio Formosa are also close by.

Beautiful Tavira and lovely apartment

The apartment is very well equipped and comfortable. The owners are a pleasure to deal with. Tavira Gardens complex has a large swimming pool (2.8m deep) and a lovely chilled bar & restaurant. Supermarket only 5 mins walk away and two good restaurants 10 mins walk away. Cost of Uber into city centre is 5 and easy.

Super holiday in a fantastic apartment

We have been to Portugal several times staying in different locations but this was our first trip to Tavira. A lovely and charming historic town with much to see. Our stay in Tavira Gardens was sublime; would definitely go again

Great outdoor space

The description of this property was accurate and very comfortable. The outdoor space was unusually large for Tavira and with two balconies you could catch the sun all day if so wished! We didn't use the pool area but it looked quiet and well kept with plenty of sun loungers. You could easily walk into Tavira old town within 20 minutes or taxi for under 10 euros. We would stay here again and would have no problem recommending to friends and family. The only negative comment for our particular stay is a nearby property was having a pool installed so there was some machinery noise when using the balconies but other than that the complex was quiet and a relaxing place to be.

Loved Tavira Garden

The Tavira Garden complex was quite pleasant with lovely grounds, 2 pools, a bar and a restaurant. It is located a short (15 minute) walk from the town centre with a full service supermarket a couple minute walk away. Plenty of parking is available. The apartment was clean, tastefully decorated, and well appointed with all reasonable amenities including tv and wifi. It has 2 large decks which, between them, offer sunshine all day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have no hesitation in recommending the apartment. In addition, we were very impressed with Di and Viktoriya. They answered promptly to any and all questions and were very pleasant to deal with. Thank you!

Excellent stay!

We really enjoyed our time at Di's apartment in Tavira. It is a nice, quiet complex, but within walking distance to Tavira central. She provided many ammenities such as a well stocked kitchen, extra bedding and towels, etc. Her communication was outstanding. It all made our stay comfortable as we were there for a month. We would definitely come back!

Lovely winter getaway

We really our month stay at this property. It was truly a home away from home and we were very comfortable there. There was everything we needed and more in the apartment. The complex is very well kept and the area quiet. It is an easy 15-20 minute walk into Tavira, a lovely town in the Algarve with lots to do.

Tavira Garden

We spent a week in Tavira Garden during an unusually cold January for the Algarve. The unit was bright and spacious. It was a wonderful place to come back to after a chilly day on the golf course! It is within easy walking distance or a quick drive to local attractions, amenities and restaurants. Although an older building the apartment was well appointed and has all you need to make the stay more comfortable. Owners were very responsive and dealt with matters quickly when informed. Thanks Di for looking after us!

Wonderful place to stay

This is a great property on a lovely complex. Di and Terry are very good hosts and their communication is great from the start. The apartment is very well equipped and they have added loads of little touches to help make your stay as comfortable as possible. We had a brilliant stay in this clean and spacious apartment. The hosts were fantastic and couldn’t have been more helpful. The terraces have great views and the pool was really big. Tavira is a lovely town and the local beaches were brilliant.

Excellent apartment & complex

Just returned from a 10 day stay. The apartment was spotless, spacious and so well equipped from board games to a well utilised shopping trolley!! The two terraces are fabulous & provided sunshine & shade when required. Air con in every room was fantastic & ensured a comfy temperature inside! A lovely complex, great pools and even though it was busy it never felt overcrowded, with plenty of sunbeds. Two supermarkets within walking distance of the apartment, we preferred the closest one to the shopping centre, great for daily fresh bread! Approx 15 - 20 mins walk into the centre of Tavira, which is unspoilt & charming with gorgeous restaurants. We took the ferry to the beach which also has a good variety of restaurants. We will definitely return to Tavira & to this lovely apartment.

Even in the off season, Tavira is a pleasant place to visit.

Enjoyed our condo, convenient to town and to getting out on the road. The restaurant on site is fabulous, and we lucked out to be there on the Friday nights when there was a musical performance. Having a car we managed to get to two different parts of Ria Formosa, the mercado central market, a gypsy market and get ourselves lost driving the winding streets downtown. There were extensive views from both terraces, and when the sun was bright and warm, it was a pleasant place to have coffee or dine. The condo was well equipped and of pleasant decor.

A great apartment, everything that you need for a perfect holiday

We really enjoyed our stay. The spacious apartment was clean, quiet and there was everything that you need for a good holiday, aircondition, well equipped kitchen, wifi etc. Just a short walk to the pool area. There are two large terraces, plenty of sun at any time of the day. The location is great, only 15 min walk into the center of Tavira. We would highly recommend this apartment.

Great apartment in quiet location.

This really is a great apartment, one we could imagine staying for a month or more. It felt like a home. Balcony furniture could have been better, but the balconies were great and where we started and ended each day. Very peaceful location, but you pay the price from feeling detached from Tavira. Only 20 mins pleasant walk to the centre though and the roads aren't as bad as some reviews make out ... Just the one roundabout you have to pay attention to. Mattresses need upgrading and a couple of bikes would have been great. But I would be happy to return especially for a longer stay. Oh and Tavira is a wonderful town, quiet, pretty and lots of wonderful restaurants. Wi-Fi was spot on. Good, practical kitchen for using all the great produce from the local markets.

Beautiful well equipped property in a well maintained complex with good cafe and pool.

Overall, Tavira is quieter than other resorts like Albufeira in The Algarve but this is the whole charm of it.. fabulous beach's with handy little ferry out, the complex is outside the town and a car would be handy as we found public transport lacking .. but didn't mind the walk. Plenty of good cafes, restaurants and bars with a more upmarket vibe. Road is very busy so you would need to be able bodied as it's tricky crossing the road . The apartment is beautiful and well equipped with great verandas.. pool just a short walk. Definitely recommend this property.

Super apartment. Very clean, comfortable with everything we needed and more. Two balconies, BBQ and patio furniture and lots of extra touches in the apartment. Big swimming pool which we virtually had to ourselves a lot of the time. The owners were great to deal with. The complex is next to a busy road and this is the only way into town so if walking (we were) extra care needs to be taken. But once off the main road and heading into Tavira centre it is very nice to walk around and explore. Lovely cafes, bars, restaurants by the river and around the town. The beach at Tavira Island is very good too. You need to catch the ferry to get there but it is well worth it. We were delighted with our stay and would recommend it if you want to unwind and relax.
