The Casita at La Posada de Taos is your little getaway two blocks away from Taos Plaza. A one bedroom with single pull out couch sleeps 2 adults in elegant comfort. Please note that our beautiful fireplaces are non- functional. Enjoy the private and enclosed patio. La Posada de Taos offers many unique spaces available for larger parties, from a one room boutique hotel room to a 3 bedroom historic and luxurious home. Lush shared courtyards are also yours to use just steps away from your front porch. Wifi, complimentary coffee and tea.

This Casita is a newly renovated historic adobe and just a two block stroll to downtown Taos. Walk to restaurants, museums and art galleries or stay in and enjoy a meal and wine on the private patio or shared courtyard at La Posada de Taos.

La Posada de Taos hosts several unique spaces to rent for larger groups up to 25 guests. Please ask how we can host your family or group for your next gathering.

Rooms are decorated in a romantic southwestern style. The decor in the home compliments the Southwest exterior.

Wood beam ceilings, hand-carved furniture, local and national art and artifacts complete the look in this warm and friendly atmosphere of casual elegance.

The house is a one bedroom and has a new king size memory-foam mattress, a closet, dresser and television with cable. There is a full bath with sink and a corner tub, cozy living room, newly refinished wooden floors, Navajo rugs and a sofa that pulls out to sleep ONE child more. Please not the fireplace is for decoration purposes only. It is not in working order .


The private patio has seating for two to enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktails.

La Posada de Taos maintains a lush courtyard that you are welcome to share during your stay. Enjoy your time in the landscaped area just a few steps away from your private retreat.

Our stay at the Casita was very cozy. Description were very accurate and it is perfect for a couple and 1 child. Access to Taos plaza was walking distance and easy. Will definitely recommend staying here.

Delightful place that is a good location for plaza area access with thoughtful extras in the room that made it homey. Host was very welcoming and accommodating. Host was also extremely responsive when we had a small issue getting one of the heaters to function- came over and resolved it quickly. Would say only downsides that would make it closer to 4.5 stars is that unfortunately the water was just hot enough for an acceptable shower but not hot enough to take advantage of the large jetted tub that I was looking forward to and the sofa a bit less than supportive. Note that if you follow original directions there is a VERY tight street entry and turn not easy to navigate but the next street over has a school parking lot that is much easier to drive through to access the parking next to the casita. I think that would have been good for the host to note for future guests that might have a larger vehicle or challenges maneuvering in tight spaces.

Cozy little cottage in the thick of Taos! It was a little slice of calm in a busy little town. Place was clean and nicely decorated. Bed was so comfy we drifted right off to sleep. No kitchen, but had a fridge to keep our drinks cold and a coffee pot and creamers supplied. When we come back for a longer stay, we should look into some of the other accommodations in this building so we can supply our own breakfasts.

We LOVED the casita and it's location, very convenient to the Plaza. It's a charming place with everything you need, lots of little extras included like coffee, creamer in the fridge, all the soaps and shampoo, paper products, etc.The patio is an awesome place to unwind with a glass of wine and it's amazingly quiet, especially given that you're not far from all the activities. The patio garden is pretty and peaceful. If you stay there take a look at the guest book. We particularly enjoyed reading what some wrote during the Covid lockdown.Thank you Kent and Angela for making this beautiful little oasis an option for travelers to Taos.

Perfect little casita for our week in Taos. It is small but had all the necessities. Checking in and out was a breeze. It was quiet and within walking distance to the plaza. There was no kitchen, but there is a microwave and a mini frig. The casita has its own private patio area along with a larger beautiful outdoor sitting garden shared with the other guests. The grounds are lovely.
