The house is a little difficult to access (must have true 4-WD vehicle), but was otherwise just like the pictures. Great view of the valley and Pacific Ocean in the distance. Very secluded and quiet. Lots of wildlife nearby with various insects (including scorpions), birds, howler monkeys and lizards & iguanas. If you don’t like bugs then probably should stay in a city, but we found them very interesting. Just be warned, that there are a lot of insects, including scorpions around the house. My son was stung on his thigh while sitting in the kitchen but stings are not poisonous, just like a bee sting that hurt for about 30 minutes. The kitchen is rough around the edges and would benefit from updating along with new pans, cooking utensils and sharp knives. We did a lot of cooking and that would have been much appreciated. That being said, most things we needed were there, just very beat up. (This is coming from three people who cook a lot and are probably pickier than most). All in all, we had a fantastic time sitting outside all day and well into there night. We used the pool several times each day an lived it! The beds are very comfortable and the housekeeper even did our laundry a few times. We would definitely stay there again. Would just bring a few of my own knives like I’ve heard some professional chefs do. Overall, fabulous vacation destination!
