It’s a good place to stay if you don’t mind staying up late. It’s a historic bar and ifs there is anything going on in town that night everyone will end up at the Fairview

Fantastic lodging option and very affordable. The rooms are located above a very popular bar that does Karaoke night which is very fun and lively. Everytime I told people in the area I was staying at the Fairview Inn they would always ask me questions about the place because of its rich history. Be aware though that the rooms are quite small and there are shared bathrooms, but with two bathrooms you won’t have to wait long to use them and they’re cleaned every day. I highly recommend the Fairview Inn if you’re okay in a smaller space and just need a room for sleeping while enjoying what Alaska has to offer.

A quirky historical Inn complete with bar music until 2:00 AM and shared bathrooms. They did provide ear plugs. Bed was comfortable and right in the heart of Talkeetna.

We were not aware of shared bathrooms nor that the bar below hosted karaoke until 2am. Rooms are so small difficult to navigate around the bed. We have no idea how this is rated so high.

A decent sized room in a great location. Hotel rooms are located directly above the ajoining bar. This has both advantages and disadvantages. The shared bathrooms are within a few steps of the rooms and were clean. Check in was very easy (bartender basically hands you the keys). Location is perfect as far as restaurants and shopping is concerned. Parking can be a little frustrating if you arrive during the day when the town is bustling with tourists. If you're in town to enjoy live music, good drinks, meeting new and unique folks, this place is perfect for you. If you're wanting something quiet, laid-back and mellow then its probably not what you're looking for. The live bands play late into the night on the weekends and the crowd can get "lively" which for me, was awesome. I enjoyed my stay and didnt mind the minor inconveniences. Plus, the bed was comfy!

Super cute town and nice rooms. They are a little small and the bathrooms are shared with 7 other rooms. We never had to wait for the bathroom and they were newly remodeled. Bed was comfy. Sheets/towels were very soft, would have loved a couple more pillows. It is right in the middle of town and all the restaurants and river is within walking distance. It is right above a bar that plays live music til around midnight every night, some nights later. Fun games, fire pit and great atmosphere. Just don’t plan on going to bed early

Really special, unique place to stay. If you're looking to drink and dance all night, and then go upstairs to your own bed after - this will be the perfect spot for you. I was tired (otherwise would have normally danced) so went to bed right away. If there's live music it will shake your whole room BUT the packaged earplugs they provide are incredibly helpful. I fell asleep pretty quickly, and the band was playing for hours after I went to sleep and I didn't wake up till morning. I heard other lodgers say the same in the hallway the next day. Honestly this is a very unique and fun place and area, so it's totally worth it to stay here. Just good to know that caveat. Solo female traveler and I felt completely safe.
