The property desperately needs updates. The window locks do not work, there are not even screens on the windows, I had to change rooms twice. There are light cords stretching across the corner of the room, the lamp was hanging off the edge as if it didn’t even go there. The shower in my 3rd room did not get hot, in fact turning the knob to the hottest temp actually meant freezing cold. I learned that the turning it half way is slightly better than freezing so I took cold showers all week. To top it off, I tried to get a spoon from the front desk who then sent me to the bar and she tried to charge me $2 for a utensil after leaving me standing there for over 5 minutes waiting for her to acknowledge me.

The property and staff during the daytime were great. At night time the front desk attendant or management was extremely racist to my family from out of town. Many of whom this was their first time visiting Syracuse and it put a bad taste in their mouth and my mouth. We had a sheriff harass us on behalf of the management team saying we were making too much noise. This was not true. We had two kids that were quietly playing uno with adults and the elders of my family sitting talking to each other. I was told upon arrival that we could use the area for my family to congregate and spend time with each other after our family function which was my mother’s retirement party.

Dirty room, common areas also dirty, lots of trash left all over and dry spills. To be fair, I understand short staffing seems to be a common problem with the area, as we travel constantly to Syracuse and i feel like the cleanliness is the 1st to go in this situation. Great breakfast, great staff. Over all vibe of room was VERY worn and lived in rooms definitely need to be updated and refreshed. Common area was beautiful, love all the options for meeting space or a quiet spot. Rec areas were nice and will mantained.

Have stayed there bed and will again. Noted the bathroom, IN hotel room, was sloppy. Less than half a roll of TP, shower soap dispensers were detached from the wall. Just a sloppiness that for $330 a night is unacceptable
