Great place - above expectations

Beautiful property! Grounds and pool were lovely, apartment was spacious and comfortable. Sladjana at guest services was extremely helpful and friendly in helping us when we had a problem with our car - she was awesome and went way above and beyond! Only complaint was the bed smelled of pet urine - maybe a little extra cleanup would have helped. Otherwise everything was beyond expectations.

Has potential.. Arrived in the height of summer although adequate albeit a bit tired looking, it was not the cleanest and AC was broken, they sent a maintenance guy who said it needed something changing on the roof and it would be sorted the next day as everyone had left for the day. Went to bed that night and awoke to a strange scratching sound, my husband and I convinced ourselves it was wind rattling something outside. Back to sleep to wake to the same sound, he looked under the bed to find an actual mouse running away out of sight!! Just leaving behind a tampon it had stolen from a previous guest, some droppings and a gnawed headboard. Cutting our losses we moved to the living room to spend the rest of the night on a sofa bed. Upon inspection in the morning we also found mouse droppings underneath the sofa bed. Reported to reception in the morning, the staff were not overly apologetic and said they would send someone to catch it! I calmly told them I was not staying there with my two children. They agreed to swap us once someone had checked out later that day. We were moved to a much nicer (refurbished) apartment with working air con, however the apartment still hadn’t been cleaned well, with dusty and dirty skirting boards, hair blocking the drain, food left behind and a full dishwasher to empty. Service at the pool bar was slow, no one on site was overly friendly… such a shame, with better housekeeping and service it could be a winner. The location was great.

Absolutely fantastic place, very high standard of property. Very friendly and helpful staff. 2 minutes walk to the beach and bar with swimming pool. What else do you need on holiday?

I would recommend sunnyside apartments to everyone. Everything was great from accommodation to service. Place around is beautiful. One of the best place what we visit till now. Thanks to people on reception for excellent service😃

Upon arrival we were greeted by a very welcoming reception lady always a good start, who informed us that we were receiving an upgrade to a two bedroom apartment, excellent start. The apartments have private parking outside the front door, a very large terrace and a garden at the rear. The complex has three pools and we had no problem obtaining sunbeds each day, the swim up bar is good for a cooling down drink and a beer is 35 kunas, not bad for a hotel. We were self catering so didn't try the restaurant however we did eat twice at the bar opposite the on-site supermarket which was very good. Zadar is 15 mins away and we used Uber to get there on a couple of nights which costs about 100-120 kuna. All in all great place for families. Overall very pleased with this chilled out well run holiday

Excellent accommodation!!

This apartment exceeded my expectations! I was sceptical about Hotels.com but this accommodation surprised me. Great value for money! Petracane is a lovely area. Local restaurants serve excellent and affordable meals for the lazy days. The supermarket had the best croissants! The sunsets from the poolside is magical! Definitely beter than Zadar.

Disappointing

The apartment we were allocated faced onto another block of 4 apartments. The whole resort is more like a compound than a resort... quite souless and no privacy. The unit itself had a largish living area with sliding doors across the front leading onto a patio with patio furniture - the cushions of which were faded and old. The main bedroom was dark with one tiny window and so small it hardly fitted the double bed. The kitchen was not well equipped - the knife was so blunt it was barely possible to slice bread. All in all not good value for money. I would not recommend this establishment.

Nice Apartments, in a lovely resort

Myself and Girlfriend fancied a last minute getaway to the sun and booked the Falkensteiner apartments. The apartment is airy and bright, and was exactly what we wanted. Its relatively spacious, apart from bedroom which was smallish. The pool area is lovely and sits right up against the Adriatic sea which is beautiful. There is a sand beach (uncommon in these parts) 150 Yards from pool area, which is great for kids and young families, and nice for a change of scenery from the poolside loungers. The area itself is quiet and calm, but has a few nice local eateries, as does the resort itself. We spent half of our evenings in Zadar so as to have more choice for eating and going for drinks. Overall food was excellent, especially fish options. Try Bruschetta restaurant or Tinel if eating in Zadar walled region, both beautiful. Wine was cheap and terrific, with staff in many restaurants giving advice on food accompaniment.
