Hoewel het personeel vriendelijk was, hebben we helaas meerdere ernstige bezwaren bij ons verblijf. De kamers zijn ruim en mooi ingericht, maar volledig ongeïsoleerd. Elk geluid van buren is letterlijk te horen, en de dunne voordeuren laten alles wat zich in de gang afspeelt – van schoonmaakgeluiden tot gesprekken – storend binnen. Aan rust kom je simpelweg niet toe. Daarbovenop kregen we te maken met een lekkage in de badkamer, wat het comfort nog verder onder druk zette. Wat het meest is blijven hangen, is een uiterst vervelende ervaring met iemand die zich – achteraf – de general manager bleek te zijn. Tijdens een situatie rondom het parkeren kwam deze persoon op ons af zonder zich te legitimeren of voor te stellen. Zijn toon en houding waren ronduit intimiderend. Als gast voelt zo’n benadering als een aanval, niet als hulp of begeleiding. We wisten op dat moment niet wie hij was – hij trad op als een soort handhaver, zonder enige duidelijkheid over zijn functie. Het is schrijnend om te zien dat het vriendelijke personeel onder leiding staat van iemand die zich zo autoritair en respectloos opstelt. Dat verdient beter.
