The Stone Creek Lodge practically abuts the MIssoula airport, although we arrived by car. It's a couple of miles outside the city center, only a short drive. Friendly helpful competent staff; clean room; in short, a very nice new hotel.

Part of their sign that says “Stone Creek Lodge” on the hotel was out and not lite in red. I was immediately worried about what we were going into. There was a homeless woman in the parking lot, who had a wheelchair and appeared she was about to fall over when she eventually stood. The guy at the front to check us in was dry. Not much personality or friendly. Didn’t give many details about where our room was, where pool is/hours, anything. There was also a $50 hold placed on my card incase any damage, smoking in room etc. That is FINE. I understood. It’s common procedure, why wasn’t I informed a hold would be placed on my card for MULTIPLE days?!?! Room was fine. We liked the layout. Good size. Needed updates and I found trash in bathroom that wasn’t picked up.
