That is the essence of a Coolum holiday on the Sunshine Coast.

Discover our friendly coastal town with national parks, a beachside boardwalk, esplanade shops, and a patrolled main beach for swimming and surfing all year long.

Coolum Beach is backed by a shopping and entertainment strip featuring a range of fine dining and casual eateries. Fronted by a large grassy beachfront park and skate ramp, it’s a great spot for barbecues, playing cricket and kicking a ball.

Coolum Beach has a proud surf club culture and lifeguards have patrolled the waters since 1919. The local Coolum Surf Club welcomes visitors and is a wonderful place to enjoy quality bistro fare and watch the waves roll into this holiday paradise.

A hop, skip and a jump from Coolum Beach, you can’t miss the imposing dome of Mount Coolum National Park. Walk up the many steps to the summit and admire the brilliant 360-degree views. At 208 metres above sea level, Mount Coolum offers views stretching from Point Cartwright and the Glass House Mountains in the South, to the Blackhall Range in the West and Noosa Heads to the North.
