What’s unique is the fact that there’s a functional Catholic Church within the hotel. The Easter service echoing through the hotel was unexpected but not a big inconvenience.

Great location by the harbor. Good breakfast. EV charging isn't working but the restaurant down the street is within walking distance and has charging with free overnight parking after they close.

My fiancé and I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Daniel and Sam were incredibly friendly and hospitable and made our time in Stykkishólmur memorable. They both went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, and meeting them was the highlight of our trip. As an LGBTQ couple we felt very welcome and safe. Our room had an amazing view and was very clean and comfortable (the pillows were amazing!). Breakfast each morning had rotating options and plenty to choose from, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Thanks again Daniel and Sam, we will absolutely be back next time!

What a great stay! Three nights staying here as we explored Snaefellsnes and West Fjords. Beautifully furnished room with three windows overlooking the harbor. Walking distance to the three restaurants in town and a nice bakery. Great breakfast and pleasant, helpful staff.

A basic hotel that is clean and functional

Please go with expectations of a very basic hotel that is functional, has a minimal standard breakfast and not a lot more. It is clean , has a front office attendance only in the day time and does not have a restaurant for lunch or dinner.

Our hotel room was clean, roomy, and had just what we needed for our 2 night stay. The staff who greeted us was welcoming and friendly. The town is rather small so any hotel in the area would have sufficed. However, it is very conveniently located by the docks if you are planning to visit West Fjords as well. Our room was located next to this area which had some seating for guests to lounge in so we were able to overhear a little bit for one night but it was brief as they did not stay there for long - it posed as no issue by the time we went to sleep. This hotel also offers breakfast in the morning which was definitely a money saver! :) There is also a parking lot available for guests. It looked like it may have been full by the late hours but it seems like there was sufficient space to park close to the parking lot even if it wasn't in marked spaces.
