Hotel acolhedor

O hotel é muitp simpático, o recepcionista nos atendeu muito bem, nos informamdo sobre Restaurantes e a Aurora Boreal. Nis sentimos acolhidos. O quarto muito bom, cafeteira de cápsula, ideal para um cafezinho ao final da tarde quando chegamos cansados dis passeios. Estacionamento gratuito em frente ao Hotel. O que mais nos surpreendeu foi ter uma Igreja Católica no interior do Hotel, que anteriormente foi um monasterio. Aproveitamos para rezar e agradecer pelos dias maravilhosos que passamos na Islândia.

We drove west and south Iceland in September. We stayed at 7 different hotels during the trip. Diana & Daniel from the reception of Hotel Fransiskus are the only ones replied my special requests regarding room selection. Staff are friendly. Breakfast has plenty of selections. Parking lots are below the building. You need to walk up a bit, but not difficult.

Beautiful small town with port and churches

Found this quiet beautiful town when rearranging my trip and enjoyed a beautiful sunny day and walk on the cliffs nearby. Quaint and beautiful area (looks different in bad weather though). Very friendly staff. Small room with nice view. Church within hotel with some history.

We were surprise to find out that hotel Fransiskus is also a church. It is a pretty big hotel with very simple but extremely clean rooms. Breakfast was rich and provided everything we needed. The staff was attentive and helpful. Parking is available and the town is in a walking distance. We had great dinner at Narfeyrarstofa downtown - Excellent!!

Unusual for being a hotel with its own Catholic Church. Adequate rooms overlooking harbour. Breakfast choices different to the norm - no Skyr (!) and cold baked egg but amazing selection of seeds and chicken soup on offer. Just 350m from Baldur ferry and fabulous fish and chips food cart even closer (no restaurant at hotel).
