La Quinta Inn & Suites - accommodation in Stockton

Wait staff at the restaurant was excellent and the food was good. Our room had a view of nothing but rooftop air conditioning on the second floor. So the view was depressing. Our party had a second room across the hall with a nice view of the courtyard and river, so it’s entirely up to where they put you. This was downtown Stockton so there’s a significant homeless/substance abuse population right outside the building. Parking was thankfully not an additional fee. It’s in a “secure “ lot across the street, but I didn’t see any security gate or security staff at 10 PM making the security be entirely dependent on the lighting you park under. Spring/summer is hot and dry so I was hoping to find water in the room but you have to buy it for $2/12 oz bottle in the sundry by the front desk.

Convenient for overnight stay. Located Downtown, security measures in place gates, cameras.
