I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! Boutique hotels are 100% worth the extra cost. They make you feel at home with all the thoughtful ways the room is laid out. The most amazing breakfast and service and lovely bars and restaurants attached. My advice, stay here!!

Room was spacious and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. My only remark is the bar areas are often taken over for local art and literature gatherings so getting a drink at the bar is almost impossible. We went during the week, too.

Perfect stay! you can walk to all the good spots (old town, shopping) but you’re also close to buses and the metro. I agree with all the previous reviews: the staff is awesome, the rooms are great and the included breakfast is really good. Worth every penny!

From the warm welcome to the warm goodbye, the staff at this hotel are some of the friendliest I've ever encountered. Nothing was too much trouble. Their knowledge of Stockholm is, of course, excellent but the enthusiasm with which they share it is infectious. Our room had lovely amenities, the only slight complaint was it could have been a degree or two warmer, as the temperature outside dropped while there but the bed was very comfortable and warm. If I ever return to Stockholm, I would stay here again, no question. And finally, it is situated a hop away from the metro, an easy walk away from the ferry and on the doorstep to the old town, so its location makes it a winner. Recommended.

We have had an excellent stay here at Hotel Rival. The room is very comfortable, and there are wonderful amenities. I especially like robes and slippers! The breakfast is also top notch with delicious options and a menu to order from. But what sets Hotel Rival apart from others is the exceptional, friendly, knowledgeable staff. People at the front desk, directed us where to go and how to get there, and let us work on our Swedish with them. The people at breakfast were so kind and warm. One woman even showed us how her grandmother served Swedish pancakes. Even the police officer doing security last weekend for a concert was friendly. This encouraged us to stay an extra night because the people here have made the hotel feel like a home away from home. Thanks for making this stay so special.

I feel quite fortunate to have booked our stay at Hotel Rival. The room was comfortable and very clean. The view of the park across the street was very nice. A short and pleasant walk to Old Town. The staff were amazing. Friendly and helpful. A Relaxing environment. We enjoyed the breakfast and coffee bar on the 4th floor. Finally , a shout out to Joel , thank you for the warm welcome to the hotel, city and country.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Rival. It is conveniently located with the train station only a 5 minute walk from the hotel which then takes you to the City Center. it is about a 15 minute walk to the Old Town where there is a variety of restaurants and stores. There is a lovely park in front and it was wonderful to sit there and enjoy the Swedish tradition of Fika- drinking our coffee and having our pastry after a long day of exploring Stockholm. All the staff were friendly and very helpful- they truly want you to enjoy your time in their city. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel!
