Mountain Retreat

Great place and location for mountain activities. If you’re going non-ski season be aware this area is the ski/mountain access are not downtown with the restaurants and bars. We had a car so it worked, but Steamboat is setup different than other ski villages for sure! Thanks for a great stay.

Not cleaned prior to arrival

We had no qualms with the property. It was exactly as listed. The bed linens and towels were comfortable, the second bedroom was perfect for 3 kids. The location was extremely convenient, being a block from Steamboat resort and its amenities. Our problem was that the cleaning person for the unit arrived after we checked in. Someone else must do the linens and towels because those were clean and in place, but we had to leave the unit and wait for the cleaning person to do a rushed cleaning. There were a pair of plastic gloves left on the floor and dirty soap left in the shower soap dish. It did not inspire our confidence, and we ended up re-cleaning some things ourselves, as we didn’t trust the cleaning people to come back and be thorough.
