A No Frills Experience
My first experience when I arrived was quite unpleasant when the receptionist abruptly said I couldn't check-in until 2.00pm (45 mins). I was aware but the lady was in my opinion very rude.  Finally she did take my detail but I needed to return after 14.00.  I went to get lunch and returned at 14.30 only to find cleaner hadn't finished room.
The room was adequate but having booked a double bed to accommodate my height, I was surprised to see just a single duvet in the middle of a double bed. In that the room costs same for single or double occupancy this was a big negative.
Having travelled early in the morning I had hoped to grab some sleep in the afternoon but was greeted with the noise of pigeon which I thought was outside the window but  I then found the noise was coming through a ventilation shaft.  This wasn't an isolated occurence as each morning a 04.00 the loud cooing pigeon would start up and sleep was difficult.
There was a small bottle of water in room upon arrival and I should have expected a daily replacement but nothing was seen for the rest of my stay.
Finally, the shower attachment was broken.  I mentioned it at reception  who say they were aware and apologised.  If they were aware prior to my arrival why hadnt been fixed or another room.offered
