All the staff were polite and helpful. The hotel was clean and tidy and a good location. I was concerned it might be a bit far out but it was within walking distance of the attractions we wanted to see and I liked the quiet residential area. We ate in the restaurant and used room service. A bit more variety on the menu would have been good but we enjoyed the food we had. There was a large selection at breakfast and items were topped up regularly. We would definitely stay here again if we were ever back in Oxford. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The shower didn’t get hot and I did flag this to staff who didn’t seem to do anything about it. We also had water leaking into our room, quite noisily during the night, from the windows and pooling on the window sill. However bed was comfortable and hotel was near enough to the centre so overall was fine for the night

Nice hotel. Reasonable distance from city centre. Clean and spacious room with right touch amenities. Stayed in executive room. Didn’t enjoy the breakfast for the price. But would definitely stay again.

Nice hotel and area, c 20 min walk from centre. Great breakfast, lots choice and good quality. Could improve small things in room - provide non slip mat for shower in bath, check and repair fittings (taps difficult to turn off, extractor not working). Bit noisy in corridor with lots banging doors and creaky floorboards late and early.

We stayed there for a week for a wedding and booked a few other rooms for other guests. We had an upgraded room, they all had older rooms. Even in our upgraded one, you had to sit sideways on the toilet otherwise your knees would bang on the shower glass. When showering, the water collected on the lip of the shower base where it pooled and went all over the bathroom floor. In the room itself, we found it very difficult to control the temperature. There was a radiator we could turn on and off. Even with it off, the bathroom floor (no controls) was heated and the room often got too hot to bear. We would open the windows, but then it would get too cold. The windows were always covered in moisture no matter what we did. The room also had no fridge nor microwave which made staying there challenging. The main common area didn't have a microwave either. All that being said, the upgraded room was nice and it was clean. The cleaning staff did a great job with taking care of the room every day.
