This was an amazing find in Stanley. The Poet's Cottage was full of history, beautifully renovated and welcoming. From the minute you arrive until you depart, you are treated as a valued guest and in this modern world, this treatment will always stand the test of time. Highly recommend staying.

Heart-warmed by the incredible hosts who made our stay truly special, complete with a delicious hot cooked breakfast to start each day. We loved spending time with their friendly dogs, who enjoyed all the petting! The charming antique furniture combined with modern conveniences created the perfect blend of comfort and character. Wow! Wow! Wow! What a place. 175 yrs old and a delight to stay in, loved the house and its history. Rooms were perfect with charm and elegance. Warm, welcoming and beautiful!

Love our stay! Geraldine and David were awesome hosts; they went the extra mile to make our stay fantastic. Gave us great info on the local and nearby attractions. David was absolutely fantastic humouring my interest in his EV - added bonus to my trip. Everything was perfect except for the pillows - we found them to heavy and dense (others my like theirs this way); would have given 10/10 if the pillows were fluffy and softer. Highly recommend this beautifully renovated place to anyone.
