Avoid at all costs

I rarely leave reviews but i need to warn other travelers. It all started with a terrible chick in process... The check in process chaos and nobody got their rooms before 530pm, i got mine at 630. There were about 30 people waiting to check in but they were understaffed so the chdck in was severely delayed. They offered nothing for the wait, when there ia a full bar on site most guests were sitting at waiting for chdck in. There was also no logic to assignmmet of rooms so you had to keep going back every few minutes to ask. I have never seen something like this, let alone for 300 usd a night they charge. The staff was careless, clearly overwhelmed, unprepared and without any interest in making an already disastrous process eve worse. The rooms are large but the furniture is a mix and match of old and old fashioned pieces. The stucco walls made it all look dirtier and mire full of dust. The place has an overall run down look. The bathtub has dark scratches, the furniture is also scratched. The worst part esp if youre alone, is the noise at night. The constant coming and going of people, the screaming and yelling and the super loud music outside in the street by the hotel which was not a one off as per my conversations with many other travelers who had stayed theee before while waiting for our room.to be ready. I was woken up twice by a couple yelling and smashing doors upstairs and at one point i considered 911. A scary, unpleasant and terrible value for money stay

The place is under some construction, but that wasn't the biggest issue. Do not stay in rear rooms, especially on a weekend night. There is a locals bar just behind the hotel with loud music, cars, and people until 2 AM. There is also a family of at least 3 roosters that live out back that'll greet you at 5:30 am! I will say the place was clean, the rooms were clean, so I'll give them that. Just don't expect a good nights sleep in the back rooms.

Hotel don’t hold our confirmed reservation

We booked four rooms for 14 people. When we got there they told me they didn’t have enough rooms. We had to split the group and find another hotel on very short notice. The lady at the office helped us find a new place but the fact they didn’t honor the reservation is concerning. I’ve stayed there several times on the way to Tortola but never again.

Consider a 2nd place

Checked in on a Sunday and we hit the pool with screaming kids. Their bar was not open. There was no place to buy water. The water from the sink came out urine yellow, and that’s a nice thing I could say about it upon checkout I explained to him they had a water problem and that it was yellow And the lady at the front desk said that’s not a problem. LOL

Under renovation, might be improving

It's pretty run down right now. They are currently renovating the lobby. The rooms are decent, but not great. Internet connectivity was spotty at best. Restaurant and bar isn't open every night and seems somewhat random about the nights it is closed. Neighborhood behind the hotel is a bit sketchy.

I understand that the hotel has suffered from several hurricanes, however if management cannot find the resources to bring the hotel up to the standard it should be close, the staff in the dining room, hide from us on Sunday because they didn't want to serve us after 10:30 am, on Saturday they refuse to take my order because the cook turns off his stoves at 10:30 am, the hotel has a posted sign on the menu that breakfast is served till 11 am, I had to go to the front desk and asked for a manager, who was not available at any time. the staff though friendly at times had a nonchalant attitude about service, the front desk clerk stood with both hands on her hips in a defensive posture, as I spoke to her about the staff in the restaurant, the lobby area is under renovations, signage not clearly posted where the new check-in area was, I walked around the courtyard several times, before seeing a sign, parking lot is surrounded by several abandoned cars and buildings.
