I was afraid to use this location as I thought it was far from the main attractions. However, staying at Emerald Beach Resort was the perfect location to navigate and go around the island. And it was a beach front property. To be as close to the airport is a real advantage as you can better rest before your departure.

I had no choice about paying an additional "resort Fee"...for what? I had to pay for my drinks at the bar, and my breakfast at the restaurant...(could not charge to room). Otherwise not bad for one night.

We were so grateful to have been told upon arrival that our room was ready, despite being a few hours before the indicated check-in time. Lisa at the front desk made it clear that a phone call in advance to make them aware of our estimated time of arrival was helpful and she was quick to get us settled in and to direct us toward the pool and beach. The daytime beach-bartender wasn’t necessarily the friendliest, but she made up for it with a strong cocktail that made us take our time before ordering another, so we couldn’t really complain! The scarcity of beach/pool towels was a disappointment, since we ended up being forced to use bath towels and in both capacities, but after a picture perfect week in St. Thomas and St. John, it’s safe to say we weren’t too put out. The rooms and property are a bit run down and seemingly not maintenanced particularly well, but the landscaping, beach, clear water, comfy lounge chairs, palapas and a lovely view truly make up for it. Great option for a short stay with close proximity to the airport and downtown.

I loved that the resort had a beach. It was great hearing the waves crashing at night. Its close to the airport but it seemed like a private oasis. The staff was so friendly and always helpful when we had questions.

Spend your money on a better hotel

We had 2queen beds, one was passable on comfort and the other horrible. Blankets had substantial wear, tears, in them; no place to hang wet towels or store clothes in drawers. The local jet ski rental companies were a nuisance. The hotel is in need of repairs/upgrading. Surrounding neighborhoods not great. Will not stay here again. Now the plus was it was right on the beach,had a pool/restaurant which was ok; a coffee cafe/kiosk. People were all very helpful and friendly at the hotel. The room was spacious but needed to trade some of the furnishings for a dresser.

Had wonderful time. staff is friendly and helpful. is it a five star hotel no. but it was clean and was only in the room to sleep. bed was comfortable. the water pressure for the shower was good but the water temp went from hot to warm on its own. it wasn’t a big deal. food was good at the restaurant. would definitely stay there again.

We checked in with Esther who appeared to be new. I have no idea why it took over 10 min. She gave me the room key and I had to ask where it was and how to get there. She told me ‘building 2’ and I was like where is bldg 2? There are no elevators so it was TOUGH carrying our luggage to the 3rd floor. There wasnt porter service. We finally checked in and went to the beach. Waited 15 min trying to get a drink at beach bar and gave up. What really drives my less than great review is that I had to ask numerous ppl if there were pool towels. We ended up getting the answer from a guest on the beach. So I went to the front desk to get one and they said they were out!! We ended up swimming and sitting on the beach without towels. Lots of marijuana use by ppl walking around. While this an OK hotel, I didnt think it was worth what we paid comparing it to other places we’ve stayed on the island.

The restaurant service was extremely slow and our takeout order was missing several items. The pool area is in need of updating and there was a lot of trash on the beach. We also noticed ants in our rooms. Staff was a bit rude when we were asking about an airport shuttle, told us to walk to them across the street even with a ton of bags and two small children. Would not stay again.

Property is great, the beach is perfect with a great view The Resturant and bar so so, staff kind of uninterested, like they were just going thru the motions instead of making it feel like a fun vacation for the guests, but it is what it is, went for the view and beach anyway
