I felt misled and experienced communication and maintenance issues throughout the stay. Prior to arrival, I had to reach out to the owner a full day after I was supposed to receive check-in instructions, as no information had been sent and I was already driving. I was understanding because it was Christmas, but it unfortunately became an early indicator of the communication challenges that continued during the stay.The listing photos show what appears to be a built-in spa attached to the pool, but upon arrival it turned out to be an inflatable spa. That alone wouldn’t have been a deal-breaker, except it did not work at all. Over several days I messaged the owner, and while a brother-in-law did come by, the issue was never resolved. The spa would not heat and repeatedly displayed error messages, making it unusable for the entire stay.I expected the home to be dated, but I did not expect the level of maintenance issues. There was visible mold in the master shower, rusted and unusable lounge chairs, a microwave missing its cover, no working lights in the kitchen, and multiple fixtures throughout the home without lightbulbs or with significant rust. The pool itself was stained, and the entire outdoor area appeared to need a thorough power washing.Overall, the condition of the property fell well below expectations and left us disappointed. This is unfortunate, because the house is in a great location and could be very nice with proper maintenance and accurate representation.
