This home is absolutely beautiful. The views are unmatched. The house is set up well and perfect for a family with children. The birdsong and the sunrises in the morning and the sound of the frogs at night made the trip so relaxing and special. I would stay here again if you want a place to hang out and enjoy the views. It is not close to anything, and the mountain roads (and driving the wrong way) are nerve wracking. (I could have happily stayed and never left, so it depends on what you are vacationing for. )NOTE THAT WHEN YOU BOOK ON VRBO YOU PAY THEM A HIGH FEE and then you will be asked to actually complete the payment for the stay via the management company, Catered To. You can also book direct if you prefer and avoid VRBO as a middle man. I will never forget this place -- the house, the breezes, the views, the birds and the frogs, the peace. If you want a home with all the modern comforts far off the beaten path, this might be perfect.

Lovely view

Such a beautiful view. If we weren’t at the beach, we were longing on the balcony or in an Adirondack by the pool. The breeze keeps the bugs at bay, which was a pleasant surprise. Only watch-out - there is a crew working on a house next door and they start banging by 7am. We were always up by then, but others may mind more than us.

Excellent experience

Beautiful home. Beautiful BVI and coral bay views. Beware lots of steps and multiple levels. This could be a problem with some folks who may not do stairs as well. The managers were excellent and tended to any problems immediately. You are only 10-15 minutes from most north shore beaches. 10 minutes from coral bay. 20 minutes from Cruz bay. If you are looking for quiet and great family times this is your place. If you are looking for the party life or quick restaurant access this is not your location. Cruz bay is BUSY but typical beach town with a lot of bars and touristy shops. Closest restaurants at this location are in coral bay. They are more laid back and limited hours. Oasis had great home style cooked meals. Skinny legs is a great burger joint and drinks lunch type of menu. Both excellent. Best grocery...Dolphin markets for price and pretty good selection. Best selection but higher dollar prices...starfish market. You need a jeep! The roads are narrow, a bit rough and definitely winding. If you are a timid driver this will be a tough place to be. If you stay here...take the time to go to Hansen bay. It is a less traveled beautiful and calm bay. You will see the wild donkeys and goats along the way. Hansen has free kayak and paddle board use. Picnic tables, sandy beach and some beach chairs. The snorkeling is grass with sea turtles and rays centrally but a beautiful reef to the left. The beach is owned by a local resident Thalia. Please donate at this beach so she can keep up this beautiful gem. Our experience with St. John was wonderful and definitely this home was the best choice for us. We can’t wait to return.
