This was the second time I stayed there. The first time, I had a room too far back. The second time, they gave me a room that was moldy and musty (basically the smell of a wet dirty dog). When I went to the front desk, the attendant said to me they had no other rooms unless if I wanted to go back to where I stayed during my first visit at the hotel (the room far back). Since I was there for 2 nights and a full day, I just managed and waited impatiently for the weekend to be over. I usually don’t write reviews but I felt as if the staff member retaliated against me because I wanted a different room that didn’t require such a horrendous smell or too much of the distance from the main rooms of the resort.

The pool and rooms were very nice! I would suggest 1 railing somewhere at the swim up pool for the handicap and elderly. The food was good and beach was clean. We enjoyed our stay here!

The property was easily accessible by public transport if necessary. We used taxis and the local buses to get about.It is really clean and constantly maintained by staff. I loved the peaceful atmosphere at the time we visited it was low season. Beach is just steps away.Staff was always pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast Buffet was amazing! really something for every one. We enjoyed dinner there 3 nights and it was all sumptious. Would definitely stay there again ! My only complaint /suggestion is that the staff be more knowledgeable about restaurant recommendations and events outside of the hotel. I know everything is on our phones and travel apps but sometimes you need to ask questions to sift through the info. A recommendation/suggestion from Front Desk staff would be greatly appreciated.

Great location but needs improvement

It's no exaggeration to say that the Radisson Grenada occupies a prime sport on one of the best beaches in the world. The grounds and main pool are beautiful. So why a low rating? Well, it suffers from two major issues: 1. Lack of forethought/checking relating to staff decisions/actions impacting guests & their stays. There was a party in the conference centre on NYE, the day of our arrival, with extremely loud music and DJ playing until 4am. We were assigned a room directly facing the venue, with noise levels equivalent to a vacuum cleaner running in the room making it impossible to sleep. Those rooms could have been assigned to party-goers. Also double charged for a prepaid booking, using card details that were provided for the breakage deposit. Spotted after check-out but still waiting on a response from the hotel about a refund of the duplicate charge 4 days after notifying them. 2. Maintenance Our initial room patio was unusable due to standing water under the adjacent air conditioning units and a consequent mosquito problem. Amongst other issues, problems with patio door locks are commonplace and there is an ant problem around the pool. The previous manager left in December & there was a lot of apparent remedial activity during our stay. New drainage installed for the air conditioning units whilst there & our NYE issue was eventually reasonably compensated. I wish the new manager success in making it better. There's a lot to do to make it as good as it could be!

No entertainment staff during the day or evening but all staff that were on property, were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, beach and pool were nice. Rooms were clean. No issues other than the latches on the back of the doors were removed so there wasn't that extra measure of protection.

Would stay again

The beach and pool areas were very nice, with lots of comfortable places to sit and relax. The room was comfortable and clean. On the beach it was a little annoying to have people approaching us frequently to sell things or ask for money, but I guess it isn’t a private beach. The food and service at the restaurant was good, but the breakfast buffet wasn't great. Many of the buffet items were cold and/or tasted like they were leftovers from the day before. Still, all in all I would recommend it and would stay again.
