Great Location and Friendly Staff

The Buccaneer Inn is in a great location. It is right on the beach and has a sitting area between the hotel and the beach. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance. St. George Island State Park is a short drive down the island. The hotel itself is an older, no frills hotel. The employees are very friendly and helpful.

The room was like 2 different rooms. Looked renovated when you walked in. And then the back half was a tiny outdated tub/shower/toilet. It was super clean. You could hear people outside and above us. But the price for staying on the island ... and just needing a place to shower and sleep .. you cannot beat it. I just wish the toilet wasnt on the floor and the shower closet was a little bigger than a small closet

We enjoyed our stay in room 120 . I gave 4 stars because the bathroom really needs updating the toilet was very loose and it caused it to make a noise when you sat down it’s not connected to the floor so they need to fix it when they can other then that the room was great and no complaints .

Perfect couple getaway simple beach

The hotel isn't fancy but it was exactly what we were looking for. We had great beach access in a calm beach town. We could walk to food and beach shops. If you want to make it nicer for yourself bring pillows and a great blanket.

This was a quick trip to the beach, this hotel is a little dated, but the location was great. I mean it still had the old school kitchenette from the 70s

Location was great. Room was very spacious and clean. Check in was quick and easy. Not too sure about the daily resort fee.. seems excessive.. there are no resort type of amenities. The basic pool and beach. The cost of the room should already include access to the beach.
