Room was very clean. Toilet seat was loose - we reported it at checkout. Too cold to go swimming in the outdoor pool. Ten minute walk to Olde Town Trolley/ Oldest Jail/ Fountain of Youth/ and Oldest Store location. Twenty min walk to beginning of Historic District attractions, shops and restaurants. Hotel free breakfast was above average and varied.

Thhe lobby looks very clean and inviting, after that it goes downhill. The fit and finish of the hotel is horrendous. Theres a slope down in the floor leading into the elevator. The door into my room was warped so back it never touched at the top and bottom with large gaps. I complained to hotel staff. The first one told me she would have it looked into but that was a lie. When i asked staff later what was the outcome of that there was no prior notes or orders taken so no one was aware of it. The second staff member told me she knew what i was referring to and it had been a problem for awhile but they chose not to fix it. My shower squeak on every step and movement of the door. The shower panel was previously broken and just siliconed back together as well as multiple places where it was applied very liberally for poor fitment issues. You have to pay for parking on property, at $20 a night. I would choose probably any other place in St. Augustine before i ever come back here again
