The room was hotter than a sauna and the fan the hotel provided was not only useless but also so noisy i could not sleep. Worst night by far on my euro tour.

We arrived to find the door locked and no one on duty. And an announcement that the hotel was closed. Adjacent hotel (the Patio) telephoned the person on duty. He fetched his boss who told us the hotel was open but the kitchen closed but he would arrange breakfast. After one night with no hot water we were ready to leave but we’re told we should run the tap. After 8 minutes it did indeed get hot. The place was like a morgue- no one else staying and we crept in and out of darkened bar and salon. The website is down . Are they in fact trading?

Wonderful old hotel restaurant with character and perfect location to visit Souillac and connect to other beautiful nearby towns, Rocamadour, Sarlat, Martel, etc. Their public buses have a limited schedule off-season.

Nice hotel but basic. Noisy bar close by.

In a lovely location. Souillac is a beautiful town. We were disappointed that the hotel restaurant at the hotel was closed. We’re not sure that was. The hotel is very nice but a bit tired. Needs the decor updating. Basic but adequate. Would be nice to have tea/coffee in room. Breakfast was very nice and staff friendly and welcoming. There was a very noisy bar located in the street behind the hotel which had live drum music playing until midnight which made it difficult to sleep. Particularly problematic for us as we have a 6 month old baby and 7 year old.

Bien pour un week end

Petit hĂŽtel Ă  l’ancienne en plein centre-ville. Pas mal de petits restaurants dans la vielles villes derriĂšre. Le personnel est sympathique. Deux points nĂ©gatifs, le petit dĂ©jeuner est un peu cher pour le choix proposĂ©, rien de chaud, un service d’Ɠuf serait le bienvenu comme des Ɠufs brouillĂ©s ou autre. PlutĂŽt qu’un Ɠuf dur! Mais le point noir c’est le manque de climatisation dans la chambre. Seulement un petit ventilateur alors qu’il fait 40 degrĂ©s. Il serait temps de l’installer. La chambre est propre et fonctionnelle mais les matelas un peu ferme Ă  notre goĂ»t. Un sur-matelas serait parfait.

Pas de restauration, bar fermĂ©, bonne literie, les communs sont sales, l’aspirateur n’est pas passĂ©, le distributeur de gel douche est vide, encadrements de fenĂȘtres sales, les serviettes ont Ă©tĂ© changĂ©es mais le lit n’est pas fait. Si les plantes ne sont pas soignĂ©es autant ne pas en mettre. La tĂ©lĂ©vision ne marche pas convenablement, ne pas trop ouvrir le robinet du lavabo sous peine de s’asperger.

À fuir absolument – expĂ©rience catastrophique

À fuir absolument – expĂ©rience catastrophique Nous avons sĂ©journĂ© au Grand HĂŽtel Ă  Souillac du 15 au 16 aoĂ»t 2025 et je n’ai jamais vu une chambre dans un tel Ă©tat. Tout Ă©tait sale, poussiĂ©reux et insalubre : ‱ Le sol Ă©tait couvert de poussiĂšre et mal nettoyĂ©. ‱ Le ventilateur Ă©tait rempli de crasse et il faisait plus de 40 degrĂ© la nuit ds s la chambre. Quand j’ai demandĂ© un ventilateur supplĂ©mentaire on m’a rĂ©pondu :  « je verrais et d’ailleurs j’ai vue vĂŽtre rĂ©clamation » sur un ton qui ressemblait plus Ă  une menace qu’à un initiative de trouver une solution pour nous aider. ‱ Mais le pire restait le lit bĂ©bĂ©, totalement tachĂ©, collant et visqueux, absolument impropre Ă  accueillir un nourrisson. C’était rĂ©voltant et dangereux pour la santĂ© d’un enfant. DĂ©jĂ  de base les draps et le lit Ă©tait par terre sous un sol sale. Avec un bĂ©bĂ©, c’était une vraie angoisse. Ce n’était pas un hĂŽtel, mais un vĂ©ritable scandale sanitaire. N’oublions pas la moisissure prĂ©sente dans les WC. deguelasse Je suis choquĂ© qu’un Ă©tablissement puisse proposer de telles conditions d’hygiĂšne. Aucune solution concrĂšte de relogement ni geste commercial sĂ©rieux. Encore pire, la dame de l’accueil avait limite un ton menaçant en mode c’est pas mon problĂšme je travail pas ici je suis externe donc croyez moi je ne vais pas courir devant les gens 👉 Cet hĂŽtel est Ă  Ă©viter absolument. C’est honteux de laisser les clients, et encore plus des familles avec enfants, dans un environnement aussi sale.

Un séjour... inoubliable (malheureusement)

À notre arrivĂ©e au Grand HĂŽtel de Souillac, plusieurs membres du personnel sont passĂ©s devant nous sans un regard, apparemment trĂšs occupĂ©s Ă .. ne pas accueillir les clients. La chambre Ă©tait conforme Ă  ce qu’on attendait enfin, Ă  part les cheveux dans la salle de bain, qui ne faisaient pas partie de la rĂ©servation (sauf si c’était une offre spĂ©ciale "traces de passage"). Mention spĂ©ciale pour la petite note Ă©coresponsable sur les serviettes: ne pas les laver tous les jours pour sauver la planĂšte, c’est une noble idĂ©e. Dommage que ça cohabite avec des gobelets en carton emballĂ©s dans du plastique, et des savonnettes format timbre-poste elles aussi plastifiĂ©es. Nous avons tentĂ© de prendre un verre en terrasse (cĂŽtĂ© bar, pas le patio sale et abandonnĂ©). Le jeune serveur, aprĂšs avoir encaissĂ© la table voisine, nous a Ă©coutĂ©s, puis est parti.. dans une autre direction. Peut-ĂȘtre n’avons-nous pas utilisĂ© les bons mots magiques ? Au retour, une jeune serveuse croisĂ©e prĂšs de la rĂ©ception nous lance un trĂšs chaleureux:« Passez derriĂšre le comptoir et prenez votre clĂ© ». Il ne manquait que le seau et le balai : on aurait pu faire la chambre aussi, dans la foulĂ©e. Cerise sur le gĂąteau: la fĂȘte de Souillac, ses dĂ©cibels jusqu’au matin, suivis du marchĂ© et de ses joyeux rĂ©veils Ă  l’aube. À aucun moment, le rĂ©ceptionniste n’a jugĂ© utile de nous prĂ©venir. Pas mĂȘme une proposition de chambre plus calme, mĂȘme contre supplĂ©ment. En rĂ©sumĂ©: un grand hĂŽtel?Oui, par la taille de notre dĂ©ception

Une belle étape avec une chambre trÚs agréable.

Séjour trÚs sympathique dans une belle petite ville avec une équipe aux petits soins, attentive et serviable. Une belle étape sur la route des vacances. Souillac est trÚs bien placée pour visiter Rocamadour, le gouffre de Padirac, Martel... Belle petite chambre avec une petite terrasse. Génial !

Il ne mérite pas une appellation d'hÎtel 3 étoiles. Il n'y a pas de climatisation, le lit fait un peu de bruit, la télécommande de la télévision ne marche pas et il n'y a que les chaßnes de la TNT. Il est trÚs bien situé dans la ville et on se gare facilement.
