Surrounded by local cedar, fir and hemlock, experience a true West Coast Experience in a cozy custom log house located within walking distance to Sooke's amenities, parks, dock and beautiful Pacific Ocean. Relax and unwind under the stars at the fire pit, after a far infra red sauna followed by our Japanese outside cedar soaker tub. You'll feel relaxed, rejuvenated, and replenished.

Our pet friendly retreat charges a $60 pet fee per stay for up to 3 dogs. Payment is required via e-transfer prior to check-in if you did not include the pet fee with your reservation. Please note the retreat owner lives on the same property in the cottage at the end of the driveway.

The host was very kind. When I realized there was no bbq, she had the caretaker come over to set up the camping bbq (tabletop type). Unfortunately, the coffee machine would not express me a cup of coffee.Beautiful place, very clean, had everything we needed. Was even decorated for christmas!

It was a great home and the backyard was especially lovely with the water feature, private feel and sauna. The kitchen and bedrooms were great. The host was very responsive and we appreciated her attention. The only thing we found a bit difficult was the living room. Having 2 beds in the livingroom as couches wasn't very comfortable for visiting. We had a lovely stay, Sooke was great, the weather awesome, and we had lots of walking and beach time. Many thanks.

beautiful cozy quiet stay

Beautiful home with lots of amenities and a peaceful back yard.Only thing that could be improved was towels, they were very thin and you might want to bring some for beaches.Overall it was as listed and fully stocked and had comfy beds as well!

Just what a log cabin should be; homey, warm, and comfortable. And the back yard was like a private little oasis with a water feature, table, chairs and a BBQ. Very quiet and private.

Amazing place to stay in Sooke!

The place was great, and mostly clean (we did find a chocolate bunny wrapper in coffee table). Great location, communication was very easy. Check in/out of as simple. Highly recommend! We will definitely be back!

Best reunion ever

5 siblings aged 80 to 70 - used property as a gathering place to visit after not seeing each other for 9 years. cousins, sisters, brothers & friends joined for dinner on saturday night. 7 people slept over very comfortably. cannot say how great it was. hope we can do it again!!

Cozy getaway

Cozy home from which to explore Sooke and points west. It was pouring almost all the time we were there but there are still beaches to explore (Whiffen Spit is amazing), and the Sooke Brewery has a heated / covered outdoor space that is child- and dog-friendly. In the evening, the sauna and 2-person hot tub can warm you up even if the weather isn't cooperating!

The Owls, Old Womem Laughing Society., enjoyed their stay in this , quiet, comfortable, log cabin.

Quiet, most of the traffic passing by were people walking their dogs. Comfortable, any problems with the sleeping accommodations were due to individual aging conditions.The kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed our meals in an alcove just off the kitchen, so easy to prepare and serve meals. We enjoyed our evenings discussing books and catching up in the comfortable living room in front of the fireplace. We were not able to enjoy the lovely backyard and amities due to the weather. Highly recommend this place.
